Wednesday Primetime Results:

* At 9 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.7/4 in adults 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 13 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.7 from a 1.5) to match its top rating since January 9 "SVU" built on its lead-in by 55 percent in 18-49 rating and by 93 percent in total viewers. From its first half-hour to its second, "SVU" grew in every key ratings measure, with gains of 6 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.7 from a 1.4) and 12 percent in total viewers (6.0 million vs. 5.4 million).

* At 10 p.m. ET, "Chicago Fire" (1.9/5 in adults 18-49, 6.4 million viewers overall) equaled last week's rating, making this the seventh consecutive telecast that's matched or beaten the show's debut 1.9 on October 10. In the time period, "Chicago Fire" is #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 and most other key measures and tied for #1 in women 18-34.

* From 8-8:30 p.m. ET, "Whitney" averaged a 1.1/3 in 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers overall, finishing within a tenth of a rating point of its 18-49 result for last week (1.1 vs. 1.2).
