Last Night's "The Voice" Beats Every Tuesday Telecast on Every Big Four Network Since January 15
NBC spins the numbers for Tuesday, March 26.

Tuesday Results:

* From 8-9 p.m. ET, "The Voice" (3.9/12 in 18-49, 12.0 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 rating of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, topping the #2 telecast, CBS's "NCIS" head to head by 26 percent (3.9 vs. 3.1).

* Last night's 3.9 for "The Voice" beats every Tuesday telecast on every Big 4 net since January 15 ("NCIS," 3.9).

* The Tuesday "Voice" debut is up 22 percent versus the year-ago initial Tuesday telecast (with a 3.9 rating vs. a 3.2 from 9-10 p.m. on April 3), which ran one week later than this year's Tuesday debut. In total viewers, the Tuesday premiere of "The Voice" is up 42 percent (12.017 million vs. 8.450 million).

* Versus the first Tuesday telecast last fall, which did not face original competition on ABC or CBS, this Tuesday debut of "The Voice" is running within a tenth of a point in 18-49 (3.9 vs. 4.0) and is up 6 percent in total viewers (12.017 million vs. 11.418 million). This is NBC's best non-sports 18-49 rating in the time period since November 13, 2012. "The Voice" is up 95 percent versus NBC's average in the time period last season in 18-49 rating (3.9 vs. 2.0) and 96 percent in total viewers (12.017 million vs. 6.116 million).

* From its first half-hour to its second, "The Voice" grew by 0.8 of a point or 23 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 4.3 from a 3.5) and by 16 percent or 1.8 million persons in total viewers (12.9 million vs. 11.1 million).

* At 9 p.m. ET, "Go On" (2.1/5 in 18-49, 5.6 million in total viewers) jumped 110 percent week to week in 18-49 (to a 2.1 from a 1.0) and 97 percent in total viewers (5.642 million vs. 2.869 million). It's the top "Go On" since December 4 in both categories.

* "Go On" is currently running within 0.1 of a point of #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in its competitive time period in 18-49 and is within 0.5 of #1.

* At 9:30 p.m. ET, "The New Normal" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 3.6 million in total viewers) is up week to week by 100 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 0.7) and up 70 percent in total viewers (3.584 million vs. 2.114 million). It's the highest-rated "New Normal" in 18-49 since January 15 and biggest overall audience for the show since December 4.

* From 10-11 p.m. ET, "Smash" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 43 percent (to a 1.0 from a 0.7) and by 17 percent in total viewers (3.111 million vs. 2.661 million). It's the top "Smash" in 18-49 since the season premiere did a 1.2 on February 5 and best in total viewers since February 19.

* Note that "Smash" continues to add an exceptional amount of viewership via time-shifting, with last week's 18-49 rating growing by 59 percent or 0.44 of a point going from these next-day "live plus same day" ratings to "live plus three day" results (to a 1.19 from a 0.75).

* "Smash" is also currently the most upscale drama and #2 series overall on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox so far this season in its concentration of adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes, with an index of 166 in "most current" results that include "live plus three day" time-shifting (100 represents an average concentration of those homes), up from a 150 index last season.

* NBC is #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/6.

* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 Wednesday results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.7/3; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

* From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET Wednesday night, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

* From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) tied "Late Late Show" (0.4/3).

* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
