The Second Episode of "Under the Dome" Retains 85% of its Viewer and
Adult 18-49 Deliveries
Dominates the Night in All Key Measures, Beating its Closest Nightly Competitor by +83% in Viewers and +56% in Adults 18-49
The second episode of UNDER THE DOME dominated Monday with 11.52 million viewers and 2.8/08 in adults 18-49, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Monday, July 1.
Note: In a holiday week, HUT/PUT levels were down from last week in households (-2%), viewers (-4%), adults 25-54 (-4%) and adults 18-49 (-5%) in the 10:00 PM hour.
At 10:00 PM, UNDER THE DOME (P) was first in households (7.3/12), viewers (11.52m), adults 25-54 (3.9/10) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08). Compared to last week's series premiere, UNDER THE DOME retained 85% of its both its viewers (from 13.53m) and adults 18-49 deliveries (from 3.3/09) as well as 87% of its adults 25-54 performance (from 4.5/11).
UNDER THE DOME topped its closest nightly competitor ("The Bachelorette") by +5.2 million viewers (+83%) and by +1.0 rating points in adults 18-49 (+56%).
At 10:00 PM, UNDER THE DOME beat first-run dramas on NBC and ABC combined in households (vs. 4.6/08, +59%), viewers (vs. 6.99m, +65%), adults 25-54 (vs. 2.8/08, +39%) and adults 18-49 (vs. 2.3/06, +22%).
