Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: "America's Got Talent" Rises in Latest Victory

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night:

NBC (7.923 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1) was of course the network to beat on Tuesday with a rebroadcast of "Hollywood Game Night" (3.404 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) followed by a new two-hour "America's Got Talent" (10.182 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.8, #1).

FOX (4.096 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then claimed the silver with a full night of "So You Think You Can Dance" (4.096 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2).

Next up was ABC (3.895 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with an original "Extreme Weight Loss" (3.721 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) alongside a special "20/20" (4.243 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5).

Meanwhile, CBS (5.950 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up repeats of "NCIS" (7.079 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (5.776 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T8) and "Person of Interest" (4.996 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T8).

And finally, The CW (1.561 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5) closed out the evening with its mix of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (2.417 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5), another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (2.103 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T8), "Perfect Score" (0.948 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11) and another "Perfect Score" (0.775 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Line" delivered a 0.9 and a 0.8 rating at 8:00/7:00c and "Score" a 0.3 and 0.3 rating at 9:00/8:00c.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (7/24/12):

FOX (6.16 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.6, #1) topped the demo charts on Tuesday with new episodes of "Hell's Kitchen" (6.16 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.6, #T1) and "MasterChef" (6.16 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.6, #T1).

NBC (8.35 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) then had to settle for second place despite a two-hour "America's Got Talent" (10.28 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.6, #T1) and the season finale of "Love in the Wild" (4.50 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4).

Next up was CBS (6.26 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) and its all-repeat lineup of "NCIS" (7.14 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (6.08 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5) and "Person of Interest" (5.56 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5).

Meanwhile, ABC (3.14 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up repeats of "The Middle" (3.63 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #9) and "Last Man Standing" (2.80 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10) followed by originals from "Trust Us With Your Life" (1.94 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11), another "Trust Us With Your Life" (1.83 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11) and "NY Med" (4.33 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5).

And finally, repeat of "Hart of Dixie" (0.70 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) and a new "The L.A. Complex" (0.39 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14) on The CW (0.55 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Dixie" delivered a 0.4 rating while "Complex" posted a 0.3 rating.
