UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - April 22, 2014 - With Monday's edition of "The Voice" tying for the week's #1 rating in adult 18-49 among primetime programs on the Big 4 networks, NBC has averaged a 1.4 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 5.4 million viewers overall for the week of April 14-20, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

The Monday and Tuesday editions of "The Voice" generated two of the week's top three 18-49 ratings on the Big 4 networks, with Monday's telecast tied with ABC's "Scandal" season finale for #1 and Tuesday's show ranking #3. Joining them among the week's top 30 primetime programs on the Big 4 are: "About a Boy" (tied for #17), "Chicago Fire" (tied for #21), Monday's "Blacklist" encore (tied for #28) and "Growing Up Fisher" (tied for #28). The Monday and Tuesday telecasts of "The Voice" ranked #1 and #2 for the week on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 25-54 and teens 12-17.

Among the NBC shows preempted or in rebroadcast last week were "The Blacklist," "Revolution," "Law & Order: SVU," "Chicago P.D." and "Grimm."

Through 30 weeks of the season, NBC ranks #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, all key adult-female demos and other key measures. It's the first time NBC has ranked #1 in 18-49 this late in the season in 10 years (since the 2003-04 season).

NBC's 2.8 rating in adults 18-49 is the network's top average at this point in the season in four years (since a 2.8 in 2009-10). Versus one year ago, NBC is up 17% season to date in adults 18-49 (2.8 vs. 2.4).

Through the season's 30th week, NBC has won 80 nights in adults 18-49 among the Big 4 networks, more NBC nightlong wins than for any full September-to-May season since 2003-04 (83 wins).

In total viewers, NBC ranks #2 for the season with an average of 9.6 million viewers, which is its biggest overall audience 30 weeks into the season in eight years (since 2005-06, 9.9 million). Versus one year ago, NBC is up 37% season to date in total viewers (9.6 million vs. 7.0 million). It's the first time NBC has ranked #2 in total viewers at this point in the season in 10 years (since the 2003-04 season).

Primetime averages for the week of April 14-20 in adults 18-49 are: ABC, 1.5/5; CBS, 1.4/5; NBC, 1.4/4; Fox, 1.3/4; and CW, 0.5/2. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 7.9 million; ABC, 6.5 million; NBC, 5.4 million; Fox, 4.0 million; and CW, 1.4 million.

Season-to-date averages are: NBC, 2.8/8; Fox, 2.6/8; CBS, 2.4/7; ABC, 2.1/6; and CW, 0.8/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 10.8 million; NBC, 9.6 million; Fox, 7.6 million; ABC, 7.5 million; and CW, 1.9 million.

NBC highlights for the week of April 14-20:

Monday: NBC won the night among the Big 4 in adults 18-49, taking six of six half-hours despite running a "Blacklist" encore at 10 p.m. ET For the night, NBC was #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all key demographics - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

"The Voice" (3.4 rating, 10 share in adults 18-49, 11.8 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49 by a 48% margin (with a 3.4 rating vs. a 2.3 for the #2 shows on those nets, ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" and CBS's "2 Broke Girls"). In the time period, "The Voice" led its Big 4 competition in every key demo.

An encore telecast of "The Blacklist" (1.5/4 in adults 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) won the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 by a 15% margin (with a 1.5 rating vs. a 1.3 for ABC's #2 "Castle" rebroadcast) with the top-scoring "Blacklist" encore to date in 18-49 and total viewers. Even in rebroadcast, "The Blacklist" was the night's #1 drama on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, topping originals of Fox's "Bones" and "The Following" (1.4 each).

Tuesday: NBC finished #1 Tuesday night in adults 18-49, led by the #1 show of the night, "The Voice." It's a record 20th time NBC has finished #1 or tied for #1 Tuesday night among the Big 4 networks this season in 18-49, adding to the network's record for most Tuesday wins among those nets in People Meter history.

"The Voice" (3.0/10 in 18-49, 11.8 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) ranked #1 in its time period in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 and other key measures. "The Voice" was up week to week by +3% in 18-49 and up +7% in total viewers (11.8 vs. 11.1 million) and was the #1 show of the night by a 36% margin (with a 3.0 rating vs. a 2.2 for CBS's "CSI").

"About a Boy" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 7.0 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:31 p.m. ET) grew +6% week to week despite special competition in the half-hour this week from ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." In total viewers, "Boy" advanced week to week by 2% (7.0 million vs 6.9 million).

"Growing Up Fisher" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.9 million viewers overall from 9:31-10 p.m. ET) matched its week-ago 18-49 rating and grew +6% week to week in total viewers (5.9 million vs 5.5 million) despite special competition this week from "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." "Fisher" retained 83% of its lead-in from "About a Boy" in adults 18-49, 91% in adults 18-34 (with a 1.0 rating vs. a 1.1) and 100% in men 18-34 (0.8 vs. 0.8).

"Chicago Fire" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) finished within a tenth of a rating point of #1 in the 10 p.m. hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and was #1 among those nets in adults 18-34, as well as women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. "Chicago Fire" built on its lead-in by +13% in adults 18-49, +5% in adults 25-54 (to a 2.2 rating from a 2.1) and +17% in total viewers while the ABC and CBS competition in the time period was down versus lead-in in all three measures.

Wednesday: An 8-9 p.m. ET rebroadcast of " Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.1/4 in adults 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grew versus the prior week's 8-9 p.m. encore by +22% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.9) and +11% in total viewers (4.610 million vs. 4.171 million).

An encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.3/4 in adults 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) delivered the show's top results for a rebroadcast since Dec. 26, 2012 (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall). The 9 p.m. "SVU" encore grew versus its lead-in by 18% in 18-49 and 11% in total viewers.

A rebroadcast "Chicago P.D." (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) grew versus the show's prior encore by +11% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.9 on March 26) and up +9% in total viewers (4.2 million vs. 3.8 million).

Thursday: "Community" (1.0/4, 2.9 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET) improved week to week by +11% (to a 1.0 from a 0.9) and by +12% in total viewers (2.9 million vs. 2.6 million), for its top results in both measures since March 20. In the time period, "Community" tied for #1 among the Big 4 nets in men 18-34 and finished with 0.1 of a rating point in adults 18-34.L+3 Time-Shifting: The previous week's "Community" grew in 18-49 rating by 41% in L+3 (1.21 vs. 0.86).

"Parks and Recreation" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall from 8:30-9:01 p.m. ET) retained 90% of its lead-in in adults 18-49 and 100% in adults 25-54 (1.1 vs. 1.1). L+3 Time-Shifting: The prior week's "Parks and Recreation" grew in 18-49 rating by 40% in L+3 (1.41 vs. 1.01).

"Hollywood Game Night" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall from 9:01-10 p.m. ET) grew from half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 by +25%(to a 1.0 rating from a 0.8) and in adults 25-54 by +27% (1.4 vs. 1.1). "Hollywood Game Night" retained its full 18-49 lead-in and grew versus lead-in in total viewers by +34%.

Despite competition from the "Scandal" season finale, "Parenthood" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) jumped +18% versus the prior week's 1.1 in 18-49, making it the top "Parenthood" in three weeks. It's also a three-week high in total viewers, where "Parenthood" grew week to week by +9% (to 4.0 million from 3.7 million). Versus its lead-in, "Parenthood" was up +44% in adults 18-49 and up +24% in total viewers. Despite the 10 p.m. hour, "Parenthood" held steady half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 (1.3 vs. 1.3) and grew +7% in adults 25-54 (1.6 vs. 1.5) and was up +6% in women 18-49 (to a 1.8 from a 1.7). L+3 Time-Shifting: The prior week's "Parenthood" grew in 18-49 rating by 81% in L+3 (to a 2.03 from a 1.12) and by 2.1 million viewers overall (5.8 million vs. 3.7 million).

Friday: An encore edition of "Dateline NBC" (0.9/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) tied for #1 among the Big 4 nets in the time period in women 18-34 and 18-49.

An original telecast of "Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in the time slot in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers. The 9 p.m. "Dateline" built on its lead-in from the prior "Dateline" by +33% in adults 18-49, +31% in adults 25-54 (to a 1.7 rating from a 1.3) and +38% in women 25-54 (2.2 vs. 1.6).

"Hannibal" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) grew +14% week to week in adults 18-49 (to a 0.8 rating from a 0.7) and +25% in total viewers (2.8 million vs. 2.2 million. "Hannibal" generated its biggest overall audience since March 28 and equaled its highest 18-49 rating since that same date. L+3 Time-Shifting: The prior week's "Hannibal" grew by +66% going from these next-day L+SD ratings to L+3 (to a 1.23 from a 0.74) and by 1.1 million viewers overall (to 3.3 million from 2.2 million).

Saturday: "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall) matched NBC's highest adult 18-49 rating in the slot, excluding sports in 19 months (since Sept. 15, 2012). Week to week, "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" grew +29% in adults 18-49 (to a 0.9 rating from a 0.7) and +20% in adults 25-54 (1.2 vs. 1.0). In its seven weeks on the schedule, "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" has generated NBC's seven top total-viewer results in the time period, excluding sports, in more than two years (since Jan. 21, 2012).

A rebroadcast of "Saturday Night Live" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET), with host Seth Rogen and musical guest Ed Sheeran, equaled the highest 18-49 rating for a 10 p.m. "SNL" rebroadcast since Feb. 1.

Sunday: "American Dream Builders" (0.5/2 in 18-49, 2.3 million viewers overall from 7-8 p.m. ET) grew from half-hour to half-hour by 20% in 18-49 rating (to a 0.6 from a 0.5) and 40% in women 18-49 (0.7 vs. 0.5).

"Dateline NBC" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) built on its lead-in by +50% in adults 18-49 and 52% or 1.3 million persons in total viewers, to generate NBC's top 18-49 rating in the hour since March 23 and biggest overall audience since March 16.

"Believe" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) grew +10% week to week in adults 18-49 (to a 1.1 rating from a 1.0) and +4% in total viewers (4.539 million vs. 4.344 million). "Believe" delivered three-week highs in 18-49 and total viewers (best since March 30, 1.1/3 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall). Versus its lead-in, "Believe" was up +38% in adults 18-49 and up +23% in total viewers. L+7 Time-Shifting: The April 6 "Believe" grew in L+7 by 81% or 0.79 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 1.76 from a 0.97) and by 2.6 million viewers overall (6.8 million vs. 4.2 million).

"Crisis" averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET. Among women 18-34, "Crisis" tied for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC (with a 0.7 rating). L+7 Time-Shifting: The April 6 "Crisis" increased in L+7 by 72% or 0.73 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 1.74 from a 1.01) and by more than 2.3 million viewers overall (6.8 million vs. 4.5 million).
