HGTV STILL TOPS ON SUNDAYS
"Flipping the Block" One of HGTV's "Best Series Premieres Ever"
New York, N.Y. [For Immediate Release - July 22, 2014] HGTV continues to prove its mettle when it comes to attracting coveted audiences on Sundays. The network had its highest rated Sunday ever in total day ratings on July 20 -- attracting more than 15 million viewers throughout the day. As it has in the past, HGTV also was the #1 cable network for all of Sunday among all women, including upscale W25-54, and was the #2 cable network among viewers P25-54.
In primetime, the highly-anticipated premiere of new renovation competition series Flipping the Block, produced by Authentic Entertainment and featuring HGTV and DIY Network stars Josh Temple (House Crashers), Nicole Curtis (Rehab Addict) and Scott McGillivray (Income Property), premiered at 9 p.m. with .81 rating among viewers P25-54 -- making it one of HGTV's best series premieres ever. Beachfront Bargain Hunt at 8 p.m. garnered a 0.92 P25-54 rating - a "best ever performance" for the series and a 61% increase over recent levels. Strong performances by both series helped HGTV average a 0.73 primetime rating among P25-54 and deliver its highest Sunday primetime rating since March 2011.
Leading into primetime, HGTV's 7:30 p.m. showing of Flip or Flop, featuring Tarek El Moussa, a self-proclaimed "driven real estate genius" who partners with his wife Christina, to flip new properties, fueled the night with a 1.07 rating among viewers P25-54. The episode also secured its spot as the highest rated single telecast of any series on HGTV in three years.

The solid primetime ratings among viewers P25-54 on Sunday again landed HGTV on the list of top 10 rated cable networks for the week of July 14, 2014.
