NBC's Wednesday Dramas Finish Within a Tenth of a Rating Point of Last Week's 18-49 Result Despite World Series Competition

Wednesday Primetime Results:

Despite last night's World Series competition, each NBC Wednesday drama finished within a tenth of a rating point of last week's 18-49 result and "Mysteries of Laura" maintained 100% of last week's prelim fast-national rating. In total viewers, "SVU" and "Chicago P.D." are currently up week to week, despite the baseball competition.

· "The Mysteries of Laura" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) maintained 100% of last week's 1.3 rating in these prelim fast nationals and held 93% of last week's 1.4 in official nationals.

· For a fourth week in a row, "The Mysteries of Laura" remained within 0.2 of its regular-slot premiere rating (1.5 on Sept. 24) and is the only new drama this fall to remain within 0.2 of its regular-slot debut during each of its next four telecasts.

· "Law & Order: SVU" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) built by +23% on its 18-49 lead-in. From its first half-hour to its second, "SVU" grew by +7% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.6 rating from a 1.5), by +8% in adults 18-34 (1.3 vs. 1.2) and by +12% in women 18-34 (1.9 vs. 1.7).

· "Law & Order: SVU" is currently up week to week in total viewers (7.228 million vs. 7.157 million), pending updates.

· "Chicago P.D." (1.5/5 in 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) matched last week's season-high 94% retention of "SVU" in 18-49. In adults 18-34, "Chicago P.D." is the hour's #1 non-sports program on the Big 4 (with a 1.2 rating).

· "Chicago P.D." is currently up week to week in total viewers (6.826 million vs. 6.784 million), pending updates.

L+7 Averages:

· "The Mysteries of Laura" is growing by +26% in 18-49 rating (to a 2.12 from a 1.68) and more than 1.9 million viewers overall (11.7 million vs. 9.7 million) going to L+7 from L+SD.

· "SVU" is increasing by +61% in 18-49 rating (to a 3.21 from a 1.99) and more than 3.0 million viewers overall (12.0 million vs. 9.0 million).

· "Chicago P.D." is growing by an average +64% in 18-49 rating (to a 2.86 from a 1.74) and 3.4 million viewers overall (11.0 million vs. 7.6 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/7 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.9/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/4.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
