"THE TONIGHT SHOW" DOMINATES ABC, CBS TIMESLOT COMPETITION FOR WEEK OF DEC. 1-5

Despite Airing Encores on Three Nights, Fallon Defeats Kimmel, Letterman in Every Key Ratings Category

NEW YORK - Dec. 11, 2014 - "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" has delivered decisive wins in ratings results for the late-night week of Dec. 1-5, despite airing encores three of five nights.

Fallon delivered bigger audiences than ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" in every key ratings category - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

Fallon's 0.95 rating in 18-49 for the week generated a +56% advantage over Kimmel (0.61) and a +102% margin over Letterman (0.47). Note that "Kimmel" aired an encore on Friday.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, a week of encore telecasts of "Late Night with Seth Meyers" outscored CBS's first-run "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in every key ratings measure and also topped ABC's original "Nightline" in their head-to-head half-hour from 12:30-1 a.m. in all key categories.

With an average of 1.448 million viewers, it was Meyers' most-watched week of encores since April 14-18 (1.453 million), his first week in rebroadcast.
