Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: NFL Preseason Again Tops Charts, This Time for NBC

Here are the highlights of the 17 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/30/15):

NBC (5.802 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) landed the top spot on Sunday with its mix of "The Carmichael Show" (3.779 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7), another "The Carmichael Show" (3.957 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5), "NFL Preseason Kickoff" (7.198 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T1) and "NFL Preseason: Arizona at Oakland" (6.296 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.0, #3).

CBS (5.571 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2) then claimed the silver with its quartet of "60 Minutes" (8.376 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T7), "Big Brother 17" (6.726 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T1), "Madam Secretary" (3.474 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T16) and "CSI: Cyber" (3.709 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T16).

Next up was ABC (4.173 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2) and its lineup of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (4.848 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9), "Bachelor in Paradise" (4.366 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5) and the finale of "Save My Life: Boston Trauma" (3.115 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13).

And finally, FOX (2.467 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T) closed out the evening with "NFL Overrun" (5.245 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.9, #4) followed by repeats of "Bob's Burgers" (2.174 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9), "The Simpsons" (2.217 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.685 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13), "Family Guy" (1.867 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9) and "The Last Man on Earth" (1.615 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.6, #15).

The silver then went to FOX (1.548 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) with repeats of "Bob's Burgers" (0.841 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #14), another "Bob's Burgers" (0.944 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #13), "The Simpsons" (1.509 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8), another "The Simpsons" (1.677 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6), "Family Guy" (2.206 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3) and another "Family Guy" (2.109 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3).

Next up was NBC (2.426 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #3) with encores of "American Ninja Warrior" (2.347 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8) and "America's Got Talent" (2.505 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #12).

And finally, ABC (2.150 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) closed out the evening with a repeat of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (3.730 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8), a new "Wipeout" (2.387 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8) and its coverage of the "MDA Show of Strength Telethon" (1.242 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #15).
