Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/27/16):
FOX (7.312 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) held onto the top spot on Wednesday thanks to new episodes of "Rosewood" (4.780 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6) and "Empire" (9.845 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.7, #1).
CBS (7.108 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then was the number two draw with a new "Survivor: Kaoh Rong" (9.328 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2) followed by a repeat "Criminal Minds" (5.508 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #9) and an original "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" (6.490 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #8).
Next up was ABC (5.016 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #3) and its lineup of "The Middle" (6.657 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T3), "The Goldbergs" (5.809 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T3), a repeat "Modern Family" (4.947 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6), "Black-ish" (4.998 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.5, #5) and "Nashville" (3.841 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10).
Meanwhile, NBC (4.093 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4) offered up a new "Heartbeat" (4.690 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12) alongside second runs of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (3.826 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12) and "Chicago PD" (3.765 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T14).
And finally, new episodes of "Arrow" (2.284 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T10) and "Supernatural" (1.671 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T14) on The CW (1.977 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4) closed out the night.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.5/6; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.9/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

ABC (6.248 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) was the top demo draw on a competitive Wednesday with its mix of "The Middle" (7.313 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T4), "The Goldbergs" (6.714 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T2), "Modern Family" (7.945 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.9, #1), "Black-ish" (6.000 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T4) and "Nashville" (4.758 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.3, #10).
The silver then went to CBS (8.314 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) with its trio of "Survivor: Worlds Apart" (9.171 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T2), "Criminal Minds" (8.570 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #8) and "CSI: Cyber" (7.202 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #11).
Next up was FOX (7.316 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) with another two-hour "American Idol" (7.316 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.6, #9).
Meanwhile, NBC (7.291 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4) served up an encore of "Chicago Fire" (4.606 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T12) followed by special crossover editions of "Chicago PD" (8.051 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #7) and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (9.217 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T4).

In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former delivered a 0.7 rating while the latter posted a 0.7 rating.
