VELOCITY KEEPS FOOT ON THE GAS IN APRIL WITH HIGH SINGLE AND DOUBLE-DIGIT RATINGS INCREASES
(Silver Spring, Md.) - Velocity's ratings and delivery momentum continued in April by high single and double-digits in key demos across both Primetime and Total Day. In Primetime, Velocity's ratings grew +8% among M18-49, +11% among P18-49 and +8% among P25-54 while Total Day ratings escalated +20% P18-49, +14% P25-54 and +20% in M18-34.
In April Velocity's Primetime delivery climbed +16% in P18-49, +10% in P25-54, +11% in M18-49 and +15% in M18-34 while Total Day delivery jumped +18% in P18-49, +15% in P25-54, + 7% in P18-34, +22% in M18-34 and +12% in Households. April 2016 also marked 54 months of year-over-year Primetime delivery growth for Velocity among Households.
Ratings and delivery growth among Persons 25-54 was driven by new episodes of the WHEELER DEALERS franchise and the world premiere of the original, freshman series IRON RESURRECTION, which now ranks as the #3 most watched new series ever among Households and P2+ for Velocity. The network also earned around-the-clock momentum in April with nightly ratings gains of +100% on Mondays, +27% on Wednesdays and +40% on Thursdays in Primetime. Additionally, Velocity's BARRETT-JACKSON LIVE broadcast from Palm Beach, Fla., (April 8-10) reached more than 8.7 million unique viewers (P2+).
