[via press release from NBC]

L+3: "THIS IS US" GRABS NBC'S BEST PREMIERE L+3 LIFT EVER IN 18-49 RATING (+1.4) AND BEST FOR ANY SERIES DEBUT ON ANY NET SINCE "EMPIRE"

Tuesday's premiere of "This Is Us" has grown by +50% in 18-49 (from a 2.8 rating to a 4.2) and more than +3.4 million viewers overall (10.1 million to 13.5 million) going from "live plus same day" Nielsens to "live plus three day" figures. The increase of +1.4 rating points is the best-ever L+3 lift for an NBC series premiere and biggest for any new series on any network in 20 months, since "Empire's" L+3 gain of +1.5 on Fox Jan. 7, 2015.

The 4.2 adult 18-49 rating for "This Is Us" in L+3 makes it the highest-rated series premiere on any network in the past year (since "Blindspot" on Sept. 21, 2015, 4.4 in L+3) and the 13.5 million viewers makes it the most-watched drama premiere on NBC in the past year (also since "Blindspot," 15.2 million in L+3).

In women 18-49, it's NBC's biggest L+3 lift ever for a series premiere (+2.01) and #2 biggest ever on any network, behind only the debut of "How To Get Away With Murder" (+2.86 on Sept. 25, 2014).

In women 18-34, it's also NBC's biggest L+3 lift ever for a series premiere (+1.59).

Saturday Primetime Ratings:

A rebroadcast of "The Voice" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET):

· Scores NBC's highest non-sports rating in the time period since April 9 in 18-49 (0.8 with "Dateline Mystery") and top total-viewer average in the slot, excluding sports, since June 4 (3.3 million with "Dateline Mystery").

· Currently ranks #1 among those nets, including sports, in women 18-49, women 18-34 (tie) and women 25-54.

An encore telecast of "This Is Us" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET):

· Is currently tied for #1 in the hour among the Big 4 in women 18-34 and #2 in women 18-49 and 25-54.

· Maintains its rating from half-hour to half-hour in 18-49 (0.7 vs. 0.7), despite the 10 p.m. hour.

In Late-Night Metered-Market Ratings for Saturday Night:

· An encore telecast of "Saturday Night Live," with host Fred Armisen and musical guest Courtney Barnett, averaged a 2.4 rating, 6 share in household results from the 56 markets metered by Nielsen Media Research and a 0.9/5 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

· The Sept. 24 "Saturday Night Live" delivered the show's highest metered-market rating since July 30 (2.5 with host Amy Schumer and musical guest The Weekend) and equaled its highest 18-49 rating in the local people meters since June 25 (1.0 with host Matthew McConaughey and musical guest Adele).

· The Sept. 24 "SNL" matched the show's September 2015 average in metered-market households (2.4 vs 2.4).

· Note that "SNL" adds significant viewership via time-shifting, with originals this past season growing by +49% going from L+SD to L+7 in adults 18-49 (1.83 to 2.72) and +2.090 million persons in total viewers (6.051 million to 8.141 million).
