Monday's 'Kimmel' Is the Show's Top Single-Day Telecast in Nearly 3 Months

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" (M-F, 11:35 p.m.)

During the week of May 22, 2017, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" shot up over the prior week by 21% among Adults 18-49 (588,000 vs. 485,000) to a new 6-week high while tying its strongest performance in 10 weeks - since the weeks of 4/10/17 and 3/13/17, respectively.

"Kimmel" also grew week to week by 14% in Total Viewers (2.117 million vs. 1.859 million) to draw its largest audience in 6 weeks - since the week of 4/10/17.

On Monday (5/22/17), "Kimmel" delivered its best performance in late-night on any night with Adults 18-49 (718,000) in nearly 3 months - since Monday, 3/6/17. Monday's guests featured "The Bachelorette" Rachel Lindsay, Jim Carrey and musical guest Bush.

ABC News' "Nightline" averaged 1.350 million Total Viewers, 510,000 Adults 25-54 and 361,000 Adults 18-49 during the week of May 22, 2017, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" led CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (1.303 million and 454,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+47,000) and Adults 25-54 (+56,000).

"Nightline" scored week-to-week increases (1.270 million, 436,000 and 324,000, respectively, for w/o 5/15/17) in Total Viewers (+6%), Adults 25-54 (+17%) and Adults 18-49 (+11%), hitting 6-week highs across the board - since w/o 4/10/17.

"Nightline" held the No. 1 telecast of the week with its Monday airing (5/22/17) in Total Viewers (1.601 million), Adults 25-54 (641,000) and Adults 18-49 (497,000), outdrawing every telecast of the week of CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers." Further, "Nightline's" Monday airing stood as its top telecast in both key adult demos in 4 months - since 1/20/17.

"Nightline" slashed its margins with NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" from the previous week in Total Viewers (-98% - 3,000 vs. 166,000), Adults 25-54 (-84% - 24,000 vs. 151,000) and Adults 18-49 (-64% - 55,000 vs. 153,000) to its closest performances with the NBC program in overall viewers and the key adult news demo in 5 weeks - 4/17/17.

"Nightline" cut its gaps with NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" from the same week last year by double digits in Adults 25-54 (-73% - 24,000 vs. 90,000) and Adults 18-49 (-15% - 55,000 vs. 65,000).

Season to date, "Nightline" leads CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+98,000 - 1.443 million vs. 1.345 million), Adults 25-54 (+25,000 - 538,000 vs. 513,000) and Adults 18-49 (+10,000 - 405,000 vs. 395,000).
