Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: "Big Brother" Rises in Latest CBS Victory

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (7/6/17):

CBS (4.999 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) was still the network to beat on Thursday with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (7.153 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2), "Life in Pieces" (5.048 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3), "Big Brother 19" (6.015 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) and "Zoo" (2.882 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10).

NBC (4.239 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then took home the silver with its trio of "Hollywood Game Night" (4.052 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #5), "The Wall" (4.472 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) and "The Night Shift" (4.195 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6).

Next up was ABC (2.959 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its combination of "Boy Band" (2.821 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10), "Battle of the Network Stars" (3.012 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6) and "The Gong Show" (3.044 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.070 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) opted for repeats of "Beat Shazam" (2.270 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6) and "Love Connection" (1.871 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10).

And finally, a rebroadcast of "Howie Mandel All-Star Comedy Gala" (1.194 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) rounded out the night on The CW (1.194 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.3/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline," averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.8/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.1/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (7/7/16):

CBS (5.498 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1) continued its reign on Thursday with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (7.230 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2), "Life in Pieces" (5.274 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3), "Big Brother 18" (6.042 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) and "Code Black" (4.199 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #9).
