NBC (7:30-11pm) (15.472 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.1, #1) closed the formal 2017-18 season on top with its mix of "Football Night in America #1" (5.886 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.7, #7), "Football Night in America #2" (8.269 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.6, #5), "Football Night in America #3" (13.559 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 4.3, #3) and "Sunday Night Football" (17.295 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.7, #1).
Second place then went to FOX (8.236 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #2) with its lineup of "NFL Overrun" (17.090 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 5.2, #2), "The OT" (10.921 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 3.5, #4), the season premiere of "9-1-1" (8.470 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.2, #6) and encores of "Family Guy" (2.625 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10) and "Rel" (1.837 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11).
Next up was CBS (5.279 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) and its quartet of "60 Minutes" (8.753 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9), "Big Brother 20" (5.513 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #8), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (3.721 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T15) and "Madam Secretary" (3.131 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #17).
