Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Holds Onto Top Spot in Viewers, Demos

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/10/19):

CBS (8.948 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) held off the competition on Thursday with its original mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (13.339 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1), "Young Sheldon" (11.952 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2), "Mom" (9.432 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4), new series "Fam" (7.340 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T5) and "SWAT" (5.811 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7).

NBC (4.291 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then was the silver draw with a new "The Titan Games" (5.700 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) followed by the return of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (3.564 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T5) and new episodes of "The Good Place" (2.765 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7) and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (4.008 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #9).

Next up was ABC (3.269 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) with repeats of "Modern Family" (2.868 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #13) and "The Goldbergs" (2.142 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #14) plus the two-hour special "Truth and Lies: Monica and Bill" (3.650 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T10).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.740 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) offered up fresh installments of "Gotham" (2.428 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T10) and "The Orville" (3.053 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T10).

And finally, The CW (0.856 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the night with a repeat "Supernatural" (0.775 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T15) and the special "Roswell: Mysteries Decoded" (0.936 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T15).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/5. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

CBS (9.833 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) was Thursday's top draw thanks to new episodes from "The Big Bang Theory" (15.649 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.0, #1), "Young Sheldon" (14.018 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.5, #2), "Mom" (9.534 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3), "Life in Pieces" (7.135 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #5) and "SWAT" (6.330 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T6).

Next up was FOX (3.274 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with week two of "The Four: Battle for Stardom" (3.088 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T11) followed by a second "The Four: Battle for Stardom" (3.462 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T6).
