Saturday's Broadcast Ratings: Titans/Ravens Shocker Puts CBS on Top

Here are the highlights of the eight ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/11/20):

CBS (25.259 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 7.1, #1) was of course the network to beat on Saturday with its coverage of the "AFC Divisional Game: Titans at Ravens" (25.259 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 7.1, #1).

A distant second went to NBC (3.053 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) with a repeat of "Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector" (3.547 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) and a two-hour "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" (2.807 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #3).

Next up was ABC (2.685 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.3, #3) with encores of "Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time" (2.818 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T5), another "Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time" (2.681 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) and yet another "Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time" (2.557 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T5).

And finally, second runs of "Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours to Hell and Back" (1.085 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T5) and "Deputy" (0.935 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.2, #8) on FOX (1.010 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.2, #4) rounded out the night.

FOX (28.536 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 8.9, #1) got another NFL boost on Saturday with its primetime coverage of the "NFC Divisional Game: Cowboys at Rams" (28.536 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 8.9, #1).

NBC (3.385 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) then was a distant second with encores of "The Titan Games" (4.389 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) and "America's Got Talent: The Champions" (2.883 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3).

Next up was CBS (3.288 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #3) and its mix of "NCIS: Los Angeles" (2.402 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T5), "48 Hours" (2.975 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T5) and another "48 Hours" (4.487 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4).

And finally, ABC (1.861 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.2, #4) closed out the night with repeats of "The Good Doctor" (2.223 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T7), another "The Good Doctor" (2.200 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T7) and "A Million Little Things" (1.159 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T7).

In late-night metered market ratings (via NBC's press release):

· A Jan. 12 encore telecast of "Saturday Night Live," with host Steve Carell and musical guest Ella Mai, has averaged a 3.2 rating, 8 share in "live plus same day" household results from the 56 local markets metered by Nielsen Media Research and a 1.1/6 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters (with the Kansas City market currently excluded).

· This week's "SNL" equaled the show's highest overnights for a "Saturday Night Live" rebroadcast since Jan. 6, 2018 with an encore delayed by NFL playoff football (3.6 in metered-market households, 1.6 in 18-49 in the local people meters with host Chance The Rapper and musical guest Eminem). The Jan. 12 overnights equal the results of an hourlong Oct. 27 11:30-12:30 "Halloween" special (3.2 in households, 1.1 in 18-49), as well as the 18-49 rating of a March 24, 2018 rebroadcast (with host Saoirse Ronan and musical guest U2, 1.1).

· Excluding nights of NBC primetime NFL coverage, the last time an "SNL" encore topped last night's 3.2 in metered-market households was Feb. 25, 2017 (with host Emma Stone and musical guest Shawn Mendes, 3.3) and the last time a rebroadcast beat last night's 1.1 in 18-49 without a primetime NFL lead-in was Oct. 28, 2017 ("SNL Presents Halloween," 1.3).
