Monday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Viewers; FOX, NBC Share Demo Honors

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/17/20):

NBC (2.312 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T1) and FOX (2.075 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T1) shared the demo honors as the latter served up repeats of "9-1-1" (2.160 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T1) and "9-1-1: Lone Star" (1.989 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T1).

The former then aired a repeat "American Ninja Warrior" (2.513 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T1) and its "NBC News Special: 2020 Democratic Convention" (1.909 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T7).

Next up was CBS (2.484 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T3) with repeats of "The Neighborhood" (3.641 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T1), "Bob (Hearts) Abishola" (3.436 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T1) and "All Rise" (2.177 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T7) plus "CBS News: 2020 America Decides: Democratic Convention" (1.737 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11).

Meanwhile, ABC (2.102 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T3) offered up repeats of "Holey Moley" (2.151 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T1) and "To Tell the Truth" (2.034 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T7) alongside "The Democratic National Convention - Your Voice/Your Vote 2020 " (2.123 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T7).

And finally, repeats of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.007 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) and another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.974 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) plus a new "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (0.905 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) rounded out the night on The CW (0.948 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).

NBC (4.024 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) then had to settle for second with fresh installments of "American Ninja Warrior" (4.450 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) and "Dateline NBC" (3.172 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T5).

Next up was FOX (2.428 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) with the season finale of "Beat Shazam" (2.582 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) and a new "So You Think You Can Dance" (2.274 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T5).

Meanwhile, CBS (2.968 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) opted for repeats of "The Neighborhood" (3.424 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T5), "The Big Bang Theory" (3.133 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T5), another "The Big Bang Theory" (3.459 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3), "Mom" (3.158 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T5) and "Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney Live from Liverpool" (2.316 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #11).

And finally, new episodes of "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (1.244 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T12) and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" · In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.5/4 with an encore telecast; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.5/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.3/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.1/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline," averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.8/3 with an encore in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 0.8/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 with an encore in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.1/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
