'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS FOR 2ND WEEK IN A ROW

'Nightline' Outperforms CBS' 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 For the Week

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (810,000) for the week of Nov. 8, 2021, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research beating CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" for the second week in a row.

In addition, "Nightline" (217,000 and 148,000, respectively) outperformed CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49.

Last week "Nightline" featured reports on climate change with an examination of the coastal community of the Gullah Geechee nation and the threat of rising sea levels; Guatemala's "dry corridor," where families who have lived off of the land for generations are now starving and their children are unable to get what they need to grow and thrive; and Australia's Great Barrier Reef, as scientists are trying to intervene in hopes of preserving the natural wonder. "Nightline" also interviewed NBA legend Scottie Pippen, who opened up about his relationship with former teammate Michael Jordan, and covered the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse and the tragedy at Travis Scott's Astroworld concert, looking at how it turned deadly and the chaos of the event.

NOTE: NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM" on Friday (11/12/21) due to being a repeat. The retitled telecast is not included in the weekly and season averages. NBC's averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
