ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN ADULTS 18-49

Season to Date, 'Nightline' Beats CBS' 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 for the 7th Consecutive Year

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Adults 18-49 (164,000) for the 3rd consecutive week during the week of Aug. 22, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.

Season to date, "Nightline" is beating CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 for the 7th consecutive year - since the 2015-2016 season.

This week, "Nightline" covered "Cinderella: The Reunion, A Special Edition of 20/20"; the swim club trying to close the racial gap in swimming; a body found believed to be that of missing teen Kiely Rodni; Tilda Swinton's and Idris Elba's newest film "Three Thousand Years of Longing"; Florida voters choosing Rep. Charlie Crist as their Democratic gubernatorial candidate; the faces of the war in Ukraine, six months into the conflict; "Real Housewife" Garcelle Beauvais defending her son against racist comments; Kobe Bryant's legacy after jury awards millions in damages in a lawsuit; the Department of Justice releasing the FBI affidavit used to justify search of Trump's estate; and a discussion with Nick McGuffin about his life since his release from prison and the still unsolved case of his former girlfriend Leah Freeman's murder two decades ago.

NOTE: From Monday-Thursday, CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" was retitled to "Late Late Show-JC." On Friday, CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" was retitled to "Late Late Show-JC-ENC." In addition, NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" was retitled to "Seth Meyers-SM" due to being repeats. The retitled telecasts are excluded from the season averages.
