"60 Minutes" Is the Week's #5 Primetime Broadcast in Viewers and Adults 18+ and #9 in Adults 25-54
60 MINUTES is the week's #1 non-sports primetime program in total viewers and adults 18+, delivering 9.3 million total viewers with 9 million in adults 18+ and 1.9 million in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Jan. 1. Since its season premiere, 60 MINUTES has been the #1 non-sports primetime program 13 times in 15 broadcasts.
60 MINUTES remains America's #1 news program in viewers with all 15 broadcasts this season, placing in the top 10 with top five finishes for 10 broadcasts. 60 MINUTES was the week's #5 primetime broadcast in both total viewers and adults 18+, and #9 in adults 25-54. 60 MINUTES' potential social impressions (408m) were up +188% from the most recent new episode on Dec. 18.
The Jan. 1 broadcast featured Bill Whitaker's report from Prague on Radio Free Europe; Scott Pelley's story on the sixth mass extinction; and Lesley Stahl's report on a promising new weight loss medication in short supply and often not covered by insurance.
