Food Network's Summer is Off to a Sizzling Start

From Memorial Day through July 20th - just halfway through the summer season - Food Network has ranked as a Top 5 non-news/sports cable network across Total Day for both P25-54 and W25-54. Average weekly Time Spent Viewing in Prime is also up +4% YOY among P25-54 and up +6% YOY among P2+, and more than 50.6M P2+ viewers have tuned in to Food Network programming across all platforms - Food Network/Max/discovery+.

"When you look at Food Network this summer, with more than half a dozen series performing strongly in primetime and time spent viewing on the rise, they have good momentum going into the fall and holiday seasons," said Marybeth Strobel, EVP Ad Sales, Warner Bros. Discovery. "That's a good thing because Q3 and Q4 are traditionally when the network sees an increase in audience."

This season to date, Sunday night's tentpole, The Great Food Truck Race, has reached more than 8.9M P2+ viewers (across Food Network/Max/discovery+) and is up +40% from prior six-week timeslot benchmarks. This season is currently averaging a 0.80 L3 rating among P18+ and a 1.05 L3 rating among W18+.

BBQ Brawl made Monday nights a destination for grilling fans everywhere and two weeks into the newest season the series has been seen by more than 8.0M P2+ viewers (across Food Network/Max/discovery+), averaging a 0.57 P25-54 L3 rating.

On Tuesday nights, Supermarket Stakeout has been seen by more than 11.4M P2+ viewers, pacing 11% above its last outing and is on track to have its best season since 2020 with ratings for P25-54 (0.49 L3).

Ratings among P25-54 (0.45 L3) are currently up +15% vs prior six-weeks benchmarks for Guy's Grocery Games, Wednesday's Primetime staple.

Thursday's back-to-back pairing of Beat Bobby Flay and Outchef'd helped the network claim the #1 overall cable network status in Prime (on 7/13) among P25-54. Beat Bobby Flay posted .63 P25-54 L3 and Outchef'd posted .57 P25-54 L3 ratings, with both series up double digits from the prior six weeks.

Friday night's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is currently coming in +23% above prior six-week benchmarks among P25-54 (0.43 L3).

Since Memorial Day, Food Network has ranked as the #1 overall cable network among W25-54 during its In the Kitchen (ITK) daypart (Saturday/Sunday 7am-1pm), driven by premieres of The Kitchen and Girl Meets Farm, with the new season of the latter performing +20% above prior six-week benchmarks.

Fan-favorite series Worst Cooks in America returns on August 6th with cooking-challenged competitors who are single and looking for love in a 'Love at First Bite' edition, and season two of Bobby's Triple Threat premieres on August 22nd with host Bobby Flay's three Titans, Tiffany Derry, Michael Voltaggio and Brooke Williamson, facing off against some legendary competitors.
