ABC NEWS' 'NIGHTLINE' RANKS NO. 1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS VS. CBS' 'AFTER MIDNIGHT' AND NBC'S 'LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS' FOR 5TH CONSECUTIVE WEEK

'Nightline' Is Up Year to Year in Total Viewers

Season to Date, 'Nightline' Ranks No. 1 in All Key Demos for the 3rd Straight Year and Is Posting Its Largest Total Viewer Audience in 5 Years

ABC News' "Nightline" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (903,000) for the week of Oct. 7, 2024, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research, leading CBS' "After Midnight" and NBC's "Late Night with Seth Meyers" for the 5th straight week.

· "Nightline" was up year to year in Total Viewers (+1% - 903,000 vs. 891,000).

· Season to date, "Nightline" ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49, leading in overall viewers and in the key Adult news demo for the 3rd straight year. In addition, "Nightline" is up in Total Viewers (+5% - 1.002 million vs. 958,000) versus the comparable weeks last season, posting its largest Total Viewer audience in 5 years - since the 2019-2024 season.

· This week, "Nightline" covered the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel and the war in Gaza one year later; Hurricane Milton; Sean "Diddy" Combs facing an ongoing legal battle in a New York City courtroom; Eva Longoria discussing Latino representation in Hollywood in the new ABC News Studios special "Latinos in Hollywood: Owning Our Destiny"; the stranded climbers who survived three freezing nights in the Himalayan mountains; Marilyn Manson denying accusations of rape and abuse; "IMPACT x Nightline"'s newest episode about the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and more.

NOTE: On Tuesday (10/8/24), CBS' "After Midnight" was a repeat but was not titled "After Midnight-ENC" as was the rest of the week's repeat telecasts. The Tuesday telecast is excluded from the weekly averages. CBS' weekly averages are based on four days (Monday, Wednesday-Friday).
