DEC. 20 HOLIDAY EPISODE RANKS AS #1 "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" TELECAST OF THE SEASON
5.4 Million Tuned In to See Host Ariana Grande and Musical Guest Cher
The Dec. 20 telecast of "Saturday Night Live" - hosted by Ariana Grande with musical guest Cher - drew 5.4 million viewers, making it the most-watched "SNL" telecast of the season. The previous high was 4.6 million for the Oct. 4 season premiere, hosted by Bad Bunny.
It's the most-watched episode since Nov. 2, 2024 with host John Mulaney, and the highest Christmas episode in five years.
It's the #2 episode of the season on Peacock, behind only the season premiere.
On social, the episode is #1 for the season with 503 million social views across YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok as of Tuesday morning. The Dec. 20 show is also outpacing last season's Ariana Grande-hosted episode, which was the most viewed social episode of Season 50.
"SNL returns Jan. 17 with host Finn Wolfhard and musical guest A$AP Rocky.
