DESCRIPTION:
(from UPN's press release) While this twenty-something close-knit group of friends approaches the next phase of their lives, they are struggling to find themselves as they deal with the complex human relationships and friendships they encounter living in the small, hip neighborhood of Silver Lake, Calif. As Hank (James Stevenson) prepares to propose to Rose (Lauren German), their relationship is threatened when her past comes back to haunt her, including the sneaky publicist Jolene (Denise Richards) who loves to cause trouble, on the series premiere of the new drama SEX, LOVE & SECRETS, Tuesday, Sept. 27 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN. David Straiton directed the episode from a script by Michael Gans & Richard Register. Meanwhile, Nina's (Tamara Taylor) attempt at online dating makes for interesting results, including acquiring a new roommate Milo (Lucas Bryant), and Charlie's (Eric Balfour) womanizing ways get him into trouble when he unknowingly sleeps with his best friend Coop's (Omar Benson Miller) new girlfriend. Set in the small, hip neighborhood of Silver Lake, on the outskirts of Hollywood, this fresh, edgy, new drama explores the intimate and often complex relationships of a tight-knit group of friends finding out who they are and what they want in life. A musician at heart, Hank, the sexy lead singer of the nouvelle-punk band 'Modern Apes,' has come to a crossroad in his personal and professional world. He is ready for some significant changes in order to make that life-long commitment to his girlfriend, Rose. And while she loves Hank, Rose is preoccupied with her job as a celebrity journalist and finds herself in emotional turmoil when an ex-boyfriend comes back to haunt her. Making matters worse, she is being tormented by the sexy Jolene, a pushy publicist, who has her eye on Hank. As the endearing drummer of the band, Hank's buddy Coop always puts his friends first. But as the ultimate wingman, he has a hard time getting the girl. Quite the opposite for their friend Charlie, the charming playboy who uses his position as a hairdresser to woo women, but can't be tied down to just one. Rounding out the group is Nina, a bright, ob/gyn who has been so career-driven that she has no social life to speak of. After stumbling upon an online ad, she meets the eccentric and mysterious Milo, and uncharacteristically agrees to let him move in as her new roommate.
