While it's no longer news that Betty White is having one of the best streaks of success in her long career, the actress (who turned 89 on Monday) is still very modest about her staying power but is clearly pleased with the success of her sitcom "Hot in Cleveland." As the second season kicks off tonight on TV Land, Elka (White's sassy character) is still in jail after last season's cliffhanger but has a familiar looking cell mate played by White's friend and former co-star, Mary Tyler Moore. In fact, the second season will see at least one other reunion (co-star Valerie Bertinelli's "One Day at a Time" mom, Bonnie Franklin, turns up), some returning faces (Wayne Knight and Carl Reiner, who both guested in season one) and an unprecedented crossover next month featuring daytime soap "All My Children" and the legendary Susan Lucci.
During a recent visit to the "Hot in Cleveland" set in Studio City, our Jim Halterman grabbed a few minutes with White, Bertinelli and co-stars Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves to talk about the new episodes, whether there's more or less pressure in year two and just how much fun the ensemble is having working together.
