YOUTUBE DEBUTS OFFICIAL TRAILER FOR NEW SEASON OF HIT DANCE DRAMA "STEP UP: HIGH WATER"

Season Two of YouTube Original Series 'Step Up: High Water' Premieres on YouTube Premium on March 20, 2019

Ashley Greene, Robin Givens and Jeremy Copeland Join the YouTube and Lionsgate Dance Drama Based on the Global Dance Movie Phenomenon

WHAT:

YouTube today dropped the highly-anticipated trailer for the new season of its hit dance drama STEP UP: HIGH WATER. Series regulars NE-YO, Naya Rivera and Faizon Love will be returning along with Jade Chynoweth, Eric Graise, Terrence Green, Petrice Jones, Marcus Mitchell, Carlito Olivero, Kendra Oyesanya, alongside newcomers Ashley Greene, Robin Givens and Jeremy Copeland in recurring roles. Produced by Lionsgate, the second season of Step Up: High Water will debut on YouTube Premium on March 20th, 2019.

Based on the wildly successful STEP UP film franchise from Lionsgate, the series follows students at a cut throat performing arts high school in Atlanta, GA. This season the students will be prepping for the performance of a lifetime, as they get ready to take the stage on 'Sage's' (NE-YO) comeback tour. Drama surrounds the High Water students and teachers in the weeks before opening night. The second season will feature bigger dance battles mixed with new relationships and spotlights on family struggles.

NE-YO will reprise his role as the legendary founder of High Water 'Sage,' alongside Naya Rivera who plays High Water administrator 'Collette,' and Faizon Love as 'Uncle Al.' Rick Ross, Todrick Hall, Travis Wall and JaQuel Knight will make special guest appearances as themselves. STEP UP: HIGH WATER is created and executive produced by showrunner Holly Sorensen (Recovery Road, Make It Or Break It), Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and Meredith Milton, all producers of the original Step Up films, as well as executive produced season one, along with Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan, who both co-starred in the original Step Up film.
