Prime Video Releases Action-Packed Clip From "Citadel: Diana" Starring Matilda De Angelis

The Italian series from the world of Citadel, produced by Cattleya - part of ITV Studios - and Amazon MGM Studios, and executive produced by the Russo Brothers' AGBO, will debut exclusively on Prime Video worldwide on October 10.

Prime Video has released a high-octane new clip from Citadel: Diana, the upcoming Italian spy series born from the world of Citadel. The clip debuted during Prime Video Presents: Trailblazers, a celebration of the women on and off-screen at Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios. Matilda De Angelis sat down alongside Bryce Dallas Howard (Deep Cover) and Maria Sten (Reacher) to discuss the reinvention of the action genre and the importance of the action heroine within Prime Video's slate.

All six episodes of Citadel: Diana will premiere worldwide on October 10 exclusively on Prime Video.

The new clip offers a sneak peek at the upcoming series and sees Diana (Matilda de Angelis) hunting her opponent in a high-octane action sequence set against the Cretto di Gibellina in Sicily, a stunning gigantic land artwork by Alberto Burri.

Citadel: Diana is an Italian twist on the spy genre - a character-driven spy story with action, featuring approximately 850 stunts, hundreds of cars, high tech spy gadgets, and adrenaline fuelled scenes like that seen in this clip, which features a nearly 450mt. long zip-line flight.

Matilda De Angelis shot spectacular action sequences across the series, performing most of her stunts herself following intensive strength training, choreography, and martial arts with Citadel: Diana stunt coordinator Emiliano Novelli.

Speaking at Prime Video Presents: Trailblazers, Matilda shared: "I went through four months of training, I wanted to be able to do most of my stunts. I have a past as a gymnast, so when I had the chance to do something that felt natural to me, I did. We don't get the chance as much in Italy, as an Italian actress, to perform action and to be a part of something this big and challenging. I really saw it as an opportunity of growth for myself. I wanted to kick ass, so I did it - Italian style!"

Citadel: Diana Synopsis

Milan, 2030: Eight years ago, the independent global spy agency Citadel was destroyed by the powerful enemy syndicate, Manticore. Since then, Diana Cavalieri (Matilda De Angelis), an undercover Citadel agent, is alone, trapped behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore. When she finally sees a way out and the chance to disappear forever, the only way to do so is trusting the most unexpected ally, Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the heir of Manticore Italy and son of the head of the Italian organization, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi), who's vying for leadership against the other European families.
