Diagnosis: Drama. Netflix Releases the 'Always on Call' Trailer

Pulses are racing, pagers are buzzing, and one reluctant surgeon is about to have the shift of her life. Netflix releases the official trailer for Always on Call (Legevakta), its first-ever Nordic medical drama, premiering November 26.

Sara Khorami: "Playing Sofia was such a gift. She is stubborn and completely out of her comfort zone. I have always been fascinated by the emergency room, a place where anything can come through the door at any moment and everyone is treated equally. I absolutely loved filming on location in Oslo and in its real former ER, surrounded by such incredibly talented colleagues. Being there every day made it all feel real, and it gave me a huge respect for the people who do this work every single day."

Thorbjørn Harr: "Stepping into the shoes of Anders, a truly dedicated doctor, has been both a joy and a responsibility. The people who work in emergency rooms give so much of themselves, day and night, and most of us only meet them at some of the most difficult moments in our lives. Through Anders, I wanted to show all sides of the people who do this work, not only their professionalism, but also the exhaustion, compassion, and humanity that can sometimes be hidden behind the white coat. If the series can help us appreciate them a little more, that would mean a lot to me."

About Always on Call

Synopsis: At the emergency room, it doesn't matter who you are - rich or poor, influencer, carpenter, or minister. If you've broken something, if you're bleeding, or if you need help, you'll get it. Despite low staffing, little time, perhaps one too many cups of coffee, and a demanding crowd of patients, a team of exhausted but resilient doctors and nurses are ready to help. Sofia (Sara Khorami), a surgeon with more talent than patience, is sent into this chaotic environment to save her own career - the last place she wants to be. There, she encounters disorder, resistance, and something she never expected: warmth, community... and love. Suddenly, she faces a choice: continue alone on her path to the top, or become part of something greater - a bond she never knew she needed. A family.
