CHANNEL ZERO (Syfy, New!) - Max Landis (Chronicle) and Nick Antosca (Friday the 13th) are set to team for a potential horror anthology series at the cable channel, each season of which focusing on a new story. "The first season of the series will be based on Candle Cove by Kris Straub, a short story that originates from the user-generated Internet horror phenomenon known as creepypasta. It tells the story of a mysterious children's television show from the 1980s and the show's role in a series of murders and one man's dark secret." Universal Cable Productions is behind the project with Antosca penning the script. (Deadline.com)


AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Kevin Costner has nixed negotiations to star in Amazon's drama pilot "Trial" (Deadline.com); ABC and ABC Studios are allowing the options on its cast of "The Whispers" to expire as part of a "wait and see approach" for a potential second season (Deadline.com); Jeff Smith's comic book "RASL" is being developed as a TV series by Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald's Parkes + MacDonald banner (Deadline.com); Neve Campbell has joined the cast of "House of Cards" in a yet-to-be-revealed role (Deadline.com); Anthony Mackie has been tapped to play Martin Luther King, Jr. in HBO's Bryan Cranston-led adaptation of "All the Way" with Jay Roach now attached to direct (Deadline.com);

Nick Zano has been cast as precog Arthur in FOX's "Minority Report," originally conceived as the twin brother of Dash (Stark Sands), but now his fraternal one (Deadline.com); incoming "Blood & Oil" showrunner Cynthia Cidre has inked a two-year overall deal with ABC Studios (Deadline.com); James D'Arcy's Edwin Jarvis and Enver Gjokaj's Daniel Sousa will both return as series regulars on ABC's "Marvel's Agent Carter" while Chad Michael Murray, Bridget Regan and Lyndsy Fonseca are likewise expected to return (EW.com); and Carol Leifer's book "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Crying" is being developed as a comedy series by Gaumont International Television while Leifer herself has joined NBC's "Better Late Than Never" as a co-executive producer (Variety.com).
