BIG BANG THEORY, THE (CBS) - Dean Norris ("Under the Dome") will recur on the new season as Captain Williams, "a tough Air Force representative from the Department of Materiel Command, who's interested in the boys' quantum gyroscope for military applications." (EW.com)
CRIMINAL MINDS (CBS) - Aisha Tyler's Dr. Tara Lewis has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming 12th season. (Deadline.com)
HOMELAND (Showtime) - Hill Harper and Patrick Sabongui have both snagged roles on the show's sixth season as "the Chief of Staff to President-elect Keane (Elizabeth Marvel)" and "a CUNY law professor who works with Carrie and is a fierce advocate for the Muslim American community," respectively. LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Vince Curatola will return to the series in his recurring role of Judge Al Bertuccio. (Deadline.com)
LUCIFER (FOX) - Charisma Carpenter will guest on the show's sophomore run as Jamie Lee Adrienne, "a former Playmate with a lot of party years on her. Married to a once-successful action star, Jamie Lee's demeanor suggests sadness and pain - or that she is hiding something." (TVLine.com)
MAGICIANS, THE (Syfy) - Arlen Escarpeta has booked an arc on the series as Prince Ess, "a handsome, rugged, pelt-clad man, with a sort of frat bro air of entitlement and the ruler of Loria." (Deadline.com)
MS. PAT (FOX, New!) - Comedian Patricia Williams (a.k.a. Ms. Pat) has scored a put pilot commitment from the network for a single-camera comedy which "tells the story of a most unlikely suburban mom. Her hustle and entrepreneurial spirit were forged on the mean streets of Atlanta, but she now finds herself in conservative middle America alongside her loving husband and two distinct sets of kids raised under very different circumstances." Alyson Fouse ("Born Again Virgin") is penning the project with Lee Daniels Entertainment's Lee Daniels; Imagine Television's Brian Grazer; Francie Calfo, Pam Williams and Effie Brown also executive producing. Ms. Pat will receive a co-executive producer credit. (Deadline.com)
ORIGINALS, THE (The CW) - Keahu Kahuanui ("Teen Wolf") will recur on the new season as Josh's new boyfriend Eddie: "Despite being very much aware of the supernatural world around him, Eddie - described as "sweet, funny, sexy and charming, with an encyclopedic knowledge of random facts" - has no desire to be anything other than human." PRETTY LITTLE LIARS (Freeform) - Chloe Bridges's Sydney Driscoll is the latest alum due back for the show's seventh season. (EW.com)
TIME AFTER TIME (ABC) - Jennifer Ferrin ("Hell on Wheels") has joined the cast of the midseason drama as Brooke, "a New York City doctor. After a flirtatious encounter with a stranger who turns out to be John Stevenson (aka Jack the Ripper), Brooke soon becomes the infamous serial killer's next unwitting target. But when Brooke proves herself to be a perfect match for John both romantically and intellectually, she'll cause the Ripper to question his murderous intentions." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED GRISELDA BLANCO PROJECT (HBO, New!) - Jennifer Lopez is set to star in and executive produce a docudrama at the pay channel about "the rise and fall of Griselda Blanco, the drug lord known as "The Cocaine Godmother" who revolutionized the U.S. drug trade during the 1970s and 1980s and became the most powerful female cartel member of all time." Nuyorican Productions and LBI Entertainment are behind the project with Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Julie Yorn and Rick Yorn also executive producing. Alex Pettyfer, Priscilla Porianda and Patrick Walmsley will co-executive produce. (Deadline.com)
