25 (CBS) - Tom Maden has scored a role on the comedy pilot, which centers on twenty-something Kyle (Matt Shively) who comes to Austin to finally convince his old best friend from camp, Kate (Emily Osment), that they are perfect for each other... unfortunately, she just got engaged. He'll play said beau, Jimmy: "Sincere and genuinely nice, Jimmy just proposed to Kate - just as Kyle walked onto the scene. Jimmy welcomes Kyle to town with open arms, unaware that Kyle is angling to steal his fiancée away from him." (Deadline.com)
BIG LITTLE LIES (HBO) - Douglas Smith has signed onto the show's sophomore run as Corey Brockfield, "an off-beat surfer, aspiring marine biologist and Jane's (Shailene Woodley) co-worker." (Deadline.com)
COUNTERPART (Starz) - Eme Ikwuakor and Karan Oberoi are both bound for the show's second season as Yorke, "Management's enigmatic fixer"; and Osman, "a young, fast-rising interrogator within the Office of Interchange," respectively. (Deadline.com)
CRASH & BURN/LOCKE & KEY (Hulu) - The streaming service has passed on both drama pilots. The former was based on Michael Hassan's novel about the lives of three troubled suburban boys through three different time periods starting in the '90s. The latter was a small screen take on Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's comic book series, about three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Maine only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. (Deadline.com)
EUPHORIA (HBO) - Augustine Frizzell (Rising) has been tapped to direct the drama pilot, based on the Israeli series about a group of high school students as they attempt to cope through drugs, sex and violence in an effort to make sense of an uncertain future. (Deadline.com)
GET SHORTY (Epix) - Alex Sawyer and Sonya Walger are both bound for the show's second season as David Oumou, "an earnest actor working an unglamorous day job, until a shocking murder brings him attention and makes him a breakout star"; and Lila, "who represents the LA wing of a deadly drug cartel. In contrast to her Nevada counterparts, she is corporate and cleanly efficient, but no less deadly. When Lila pushes Amara (Lidia Porto) around, the conflict turns bloody." (Deadline.com)
GLOW (Netflix) - Patrick Renna will recur on the show's upcoming sophomore run as Cupcake, "a socially awkward GLOW superfan who is also an enthusiastic baker." (Deadline.com)
GOOD GIRLS (NBC) - Allison Tolman will recur on the freshman drama as Mary Pat, "an overwhelmed single mom of three who's revealed to be an unlikely wolf in sheep's clothing, complicating the ladies' lives and threatening their livelihoods." (EW.com)
MOST LIKELY TO... (ABC) - Max Jenkins has been cast in the Lesli Margherita/Yvette Nicole Brown-led comedy pilot as Dante Almanzar, "a stylish, fabulous and fun gay man who works at Markie's (Brown) salon as a hairdresser and is the perfect friend when she needs to vent." (Deadline.com)
NASHVILLE (CMT) - Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Steve Earle will guest star as himself in an upcoming episode, arriving "just when Gunnar could use a pick-me-up." (TVLine.com)
PANDAS IN NEW YORK (CBS) - Ashley Tisdale will round out the cast of the comedy pilot, about a family of Indian doctors with a successful group practice in New York City who embark on a project to arrange their youngest son Rishi's (Dhruv Singh) life, unaware he's made plans of his own. She'll play Maya, "the director of the free clinic where Rishi works. She has a highly developed sense of fairness and an outsized focus on social justice, particularly when it comes to the dismal state of healthcare for the poor. Underneath her tough exterior is a warm, sensitive person who is attracted to Rishi, which she tries to deny." (Deadline.com)
ROSWELL (The CW) - Karan Oberoi is the latest addition to the netlet's potential reboot as Noah Bracken, "Isobel's (Lily Cowles) sexy, charming and devoted husband who senses a secret in his wife that's starting to tear them apart." (Deadline.com)
SKINNY DIP (The CW) - K.J. Smith and Brent Sexton are both set to join the cast of the drama pilot, based on the novel by Carl Hiaasen. The former will play Karla: "A misplaced Detroiter now living in Miami, Karla is a detective investigating the strange disappearance of Joey. Coming off a bad relationship of her own, she interviews Chaz (Ben Aldridge) - and immediately gets the feeling that something's not quite right." Sexton then is Red: "Ruthless and tough as nails, he's known as "Red" to friends and enemies alike. A self-made, albeit corrupt, businessman, he uses his charm and charisma to conceal his violent nature." (Deadline.com)
