LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX has pulled its freshman drama "Past Life" after three airings, network sources have confirmed this morning.
The series drew an invisible 1.1 rating among adults 18-49 last night, where it lost 31.25% of its repeat lead-in "Bones" (1.6 rating).
Said decision comes as "American Idol" is set to expand to Thursday nights for the next three weeks. Rather than waste the platform on "Life," FOX will instead shift original episodes of "Kitchen Nightmares" to the Thursday, 9:00/8:00c hour. Repeats will continue of the Gordon Ramsay-hosted series in its regular Friday, 9:00/8:00c time period.
As previously announced, "Bones" and "Fringe" both return with original episodes on Thursday, April 1. "Nightmares" will then resume first-run airings on Friday nights.
The four remaining installments of "Past Life" will reportedly air later in the season, however no air dates were specified.
[UPDATED: Repeats of "Bones" and "Fringe" will air March 18 and March 25, following the "Idol" and "Nightmares" special Thursday airings.]
