CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- Despite just one episode left to go, UPN is nevertheless pulling the animated comedy "Game Over" from its schedule.
The show's back-to-back fresh installments on Friday delivered an embarrassing 0.9 rating/2 share in households and a 0.6 rating in adults 18-49 according to fast national data.
The netlet had already planned to go back to movies on Fridays after "Game Over's" season finale on April 9. Instead, UPN will leave said episode ("Monkey Dearest") on the shelf and opt for the feature "Double Take" instead this Friday.
While UPN executives insist the series is still under consideration for next season, it's widely believed the show is dead. David Sacks, David Goetsch and Jason Venokur are the executive producers of "Game Over," which comes from Carsey-Warner-Mandabach.
