ABC Family Delivers Screams and Scares During Its Annual'13 Nights of Halloween' Programming Event

Burbank, CA, September 30, 2004 � There is nothing more fun than a good scare, and during the month of October ABC Family will fulfill your need for fright during �13 Nights of Halloween,� October 19-31. The spooky and ghoulish Halloween-themed programming event will feature an Original Movie Event on ABC Family of THE HOLLOW and bring back audience favorites including SCARIEST PLACES ON EARTH.

�ABC Family is delighted to be bringing such strong Halloween programming to the channel � 13 Nights of Halloween and 25 Days of Christmas are core franchises for us,� stated Paul Lee, President ABC Family.

ABC Family will air THE HOLLOW as an Original Movie Event premiering Sunday, October 24 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). A modern version of the Headless Horseman legend, THE HOLLOW stars Kaley Cuoco (�8 Simple Rules�), Nick Carter (Backstreet Boys) and Stacey Keach (�Mike Hammer�). Also making television premieres during the Halloween event are the films I DOWNLOADED A GHOST, Tuesday, October 19 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), about a girl who helps a lost soul make amends after his life ends, and HANGMAN�S CURSE, Thursday, October 28 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), a thriller about a family of investigators who try to uncover the cause of mysterious occurrences at the local high school.

Following is a gruesome listing of programming taking place October 19-31 during ABC Family�s �13 Nights of Halloween.�

Night One � Tuesday, October 19 �13 Nights of Halloween� eerily begins with the television premiere of I Downloaded A Ghost (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

Night Two � Wednesday, October 20 Get your turtlenecks and garlic out as Jonathan Lipnicki stars as a boy who ends up befriending a vampire in The Little Vampire (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

Night Three � Thursday, October 21 Your favorite lovable ghost is back for more frights in Casper Meets Wendy (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). This time Casper teams up with a witch named Wendy, played by Hilary Duff, to thwart the plans of an evil warlock.

Night Four � Friday, October 22 Christopher Lloyd stars in the imaginative Halloween tale, from R.L Stine�s successful �Goosebumps� series, When Good Ghouls Go Bad (8:00 � 10:00 PM ET/PT). When 12 year old Danny Walker (Joe Pichler) moves to his father's hometown in Minnesota he finds that the town does not celebrate Halloween, and things are not quite what they appear to be.

Night Five � Saturday, October 23 A weekend of frights and screams begins with the Scariest Places on Earth marathon (4:00-8:00 PM ET/PT), where brave families are challenged to spend the night in some of the worlds scariest places. The fear doesn�t end there, following right after is Jennifer Love Hewitt (�Garfield�), Sarah Michelle Gellar (�Buffy the Vampire Slayer�), Freddie Prinze, Jr.(�Scooby Doo�), and Ryan Phillippe (�Gosford Park�) starring in I Know What You Did Last Summer (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

Night Six � Sunday, October 24 Due to the piercing screams of demand, Scariest Places on Earth (4:00-8:00 PM ET/PT) is back for a second marathon. Then 8:00-10:00 PM (ET/PT) the sound of a phantom rider and his horse can be heard in the premiere of The Hollow starring Kaley Cuoco (�8 Simple Rules�), Nick Carter (Backstreet Boys) and Stacy Keach (�Mike Hammer�). If you didn�t get enough of The Hollow or missed the premiere, have no fear, a second airing will follow 10:00 PM-12:00 AM (ET/PT).

Night Seven � Monday, October 25 Be careful or you may loose your head when an encore presentation of The Hollow (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) rides into town.

Night Eight � Tuesday, October 26 Panic infiltrates a seaside town when a past indiscretion comes back to haunt four friends in I Know What You Did Last Summer (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Ryan Phillippe.

Night Nine � Wednesday, October 27 The supernatural and down right creepy comes back to life when JoBeth Williams (�Wyatt Earp�) and Craig T. Nelson (�Coach�) star in Poltergeist II: The Other Side (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

Night Ten � Thursday, October 28 David Keith (�Daredevil�) and Mel Harris (�thirtysomthing�) star in the creepy-crawly television premiere of Hangman�s Curse (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). Students at a local high school are turning up in the hospital due to mysterious circumstances, and the Springfield family is determined to get to the bottom of it.

Night Eleven � Friday, October 29 The guests check in�but never check out at the Hollywood Tower Hotel in Tower of Terror (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) starring Kirsten Dunst (�Spiderman 2�) and Steve Guttenberg (�Police Academy�). This haunting tale is based on the Disneyland and Walt Disney World theme ride.

Night Twelve � Saturday, October 30 Ghouly-gazers are in for a treat today when a day full of ghostly apparitions takes over ABC Family. An encore of Tower of Terror (4:00-6:00 PM ET/PT) begins the fright with Steve Guttenberg and Kirsten Dunst fending off a hotel full of ghostly guests. Then (6:00-8:00 PM ET/PT) the supernatural occurrences continue with Poltergeist II: The Other Side starring JoBeth Williams and Craig T. Nelson. The evening ends with Kaley Cuoco and Nick Carter battling the Headless Horseman during back-to-back airings of The Hollow (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT and 10:00 PM-12:00 AM ET/PT).

Night Thirteen � Sunday, October 31 The bone-chilling thrills come to a screaming conclusion with an evening full of programming to accompany the creepiest night of the year. The Haunting of Seacliff Inn (4:00-6:00 PM ET/PT) ushers in the evening event with a tale about an inn with a mysterious past that seems to keep repeating, starring Alley Sheedy (�Only the Lonely�) and William R. Moses (�Perry Mason�). The haunting continues with Kaley Cuoco and Nick Carter battling the Headless Horseman in The Hollow (6:00-8:00 PM ET/PT). �13 Nights of Halloween� ends with panic infiltrating a seaside town when a past indiscretion comes back to haunt four friends in I Know What You Did Last Summer (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Ryan Phillippe.
