New York, NY (March 29, 2005) - The SCI FI juggernaut continues. Feeding on the unyielding momentum of its 'SCI FI Friday' lineup of original series, the Channel ends 1Q05 with the best first quarter - and second best of any quarter* - in its history. SCI FI averaged a 1.1 HH rating and delivered more young viewers than ever before and ranked solidly within the Top 10 of all cable networks in every key demo.
"SCI FI FRIDAY"
The verdict is in: SCI FI reigns supreme on Friday nights, coming in #1 (8-11pm) in 1Q05 among both P25-54 and P18-49. Additionally, the dominance of SCI FI's Friday night trio of original series - 'Stargate SG-1,' 'Stargate Atlantis' and 'Battlestar Galactica' - has made 'SCI FI Fridays' the #2 night of the week for all of cable among P25-54. It also puts SCI FI in cable's Top 5 on Fridays in: HH ratings, P2+, P18-34, F25-54 and F18-49.
--'Stargate SG-1' (Fridays at 8pm) enjoyed its highest-rated quarter yet on SCI FI, averaging a 2.1 HH rating and more than 2.5 million viewers P2+.
--'Stargate Atlantis' (Fridays at 9pm) averaged a 2.2 HH rating and 2.8 million viewers P2+.
--'Battlestar Galactica' (Fridays at 10pm) averaged a 2.4 HH rating and 2.9 million viewers P2+ for the quarter, making it the highest-rated original series in the history of SCI FI.
CHANNEL SCORES WITH YOUNGER VIEWERS
In 1Q05, SCI FI delivered more P18-49 and P25-54 than any other first quarter in its history. This is an increase of +11% and +10% over 2004, respectively. Additionally, SCI FI grew +17% in P18-34 and +25% in M18-34 vs. 1Q04.
SCI FI Ranks in cable TOP 10 for ratings in prime among P25-54 (#5), P18-49 (#6), M25-54 (#3) and F25-54 (#7).
SATURDAY NIGHT MOVIES
SCI FI's crowd-pleasing Saturday original movies have continued to deliver big audiences, averaging a 1.7 HH rating and 2 million viewers P2+ for the quarter. The March 26 premiere of 'Alien Apocalypse,' starring Bruce Campbell, was the highest-rated of any of SCI FI's Saturday originals to date - delivering an incredible 2.3 HH rating and 2.7 million viewers P2+.

1Q05 served to rewrite the record books for SCI FI. The Channel outperformed itself at every turn, delivering:
