CONTINUING CREATIVE AND INNOVATIVE EFFORTS IN PROMOTING ABC PROGRAMMING, "ALIAS" PRINT AD ART IMITATES LIFE; "DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES" GETS "JUICY" PROMO
Continuing creative and innovative efforts in promoting new and returning series, ABC has unveiled a new "Alias" print ad that cleverly both hints at and hits head-on a very special event in the lives of Jennifer Garner and Sydney Bristow. The network has also recently launched a new "Desperate Housewives" promo, part of an overall campaign that plays off of the apple imagery in the show's main title sequence. The "Alias" ad is attached separately to view. Links to a downloadable version of the "Alias" ad and the "Desperate Housewives" promo are provided below (see end).
With real life imitating art, Jennifer Garner is pictured for ABC's new "Alias" print ad with a hand on her stomach and the tag line, "Expect More," playing off both her real life and fictitious pregnancies.
The "Desperate Housewives" "Juicy" promo was directed by Matthew Rolston, the world-renowned photographer and now director. This promo features over 1,100 Gala apples and some 5,000 square feet of real grass, and while Felicity Huffman is actually juggling, computer generated effects were used to exaggerate her juggling motion. The spot features the song "Juicy" by the group Better Than Ezra.
