CBS.COM BRINGS BLOGGING TO PRIMETIME
Stars, Producers and Writers to Write Blogs for Hit CBS Primetime Series
CBS.com is bringing blogging to primetime with the help of stars, writers and producers of some of the biggest hits on CBS. From crime dramas to comedies, to supernatural thrillers, to reality series, these series blogs will give web surfers the inside track on their favorite shows.
CBS.com is now featuring blogs from "CSI: Miami," "Survivor: Guatemala," "How I Met Your Mother" and "Ghost Whisperer." In addition, in the coming weeks CBS.com will unveil blogs for "Threshold," "NCIS" and "The Amazing Race: Family Edition."
"The public's appetite for personal blogs continues to grow by leaps and bounds, and so it only makes sense to offer the stars and creative talent of America's most watched network to this growing audience," commented Larry Kramer, President, CBS Digital Media. "Additionally, we're confident these blogs will help drive traffic to our sites, while also increasing the visibility of these series on a whole new platform and build an even stronger relationship with the viewers."
"Blogs are a great way to bring the millions of viewers who enjoy our programming into the creative process," said Nancy Tellem, President, CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group. "Each week, fans of our shows will be able to go online and read about what it's like to work on the show, what went into a particular episode or what's on the mind of one of our actors," "It's a great bonus for our viewers, and a unique way to give them an exclusive look behind the scenes of their favorite shows."
