[via press release from Court TV]

COURT TV MAKES FIRST FORAY INTO ORIGINAL SCRIPTED SERIES FEATURING CULT FILMMAKER JOHN WATERS

Network in Production on Reality-Based Docu-Drama in New York City

New York, NY - October 19, 2005 - Court TV Seriously EntertainingSM becomes cult TV with the irreverent new scripted series, Til Death Do Us PartSM, the networks first venture into original scripted series. Recalling great anthology series like Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Twilight Zone and Tales from the Crypt, Til Death Do Us Part features fabled director John Waters starring as The Groom Reaper, guiding viewers through the true stories of doomed marriages that end with one spouse murdering the other. Each episode dramatizes the events of a true crime, opening at the couples wedding, with the time-traveling Groom Reaper as an unexpected guest, foretelling the worst. Through tantalizing and dramatic scenes from the marriage, the Groom Reaper reveals the story of the ill-fated relationship, leaving viewers guessing as to who will be the victim and who will be the culprit. The shows creator, famed director Jeff Lieberman -- best known for his cult films including Squirm, Blue Sunshine, Just Before Dawn and, most recently, Satan's Little Helper -- crafts each episode as a mini-horror movie, with the ominous music and vertiginous camera angles of the genres over-the-top style.

Taking the leap into scripted series is completely new for Court TV and Til Death Do Us Part is an audacious series: a little dark, very edgy and totally unique, said Marc Juris, Court TV General Manager, Programming and Marketing. This series really pushes the boundaries, which is why John Waters is the perfect star: being provocative is what he does best.

Ive always been jealous of Vincent Prices career, said John Waters, maybe now that hes dead, I can hijack it.

Til Death Do Us Part is a Court TV Original Production, co-produced by KaBoo Productions, Inc. For KaBoo Productions Jeff Lieberman serves as Executive Producer, Writer, Director and Creator. For Court TV, Rosalie Muskatt is the Executive in Charge of Scripted Programming, with Ali Hart as Coordinating Producer.

Court TV provides a window on the American system of justice through distinctive programming that both informs and entertains. The Court TV Networks are comprised of Court TV NewsSM, which provides live gavel-to-gavel trial coverage in daytime; and Court TV: Seriously EntertainingSM in primetime, featuring investigative drama, expert reality and relevant non-fiction series. Court TV Networks is 50% owned by Time Warner, and 50% owned by Liberty Media Corp, and is seen in 85 million homes. (www.courttv.com or AOL Keyword: Court TV)
