HALLMARK CHANNEL�S ORIGINAL MOVIE PREMIERE �HIDDEN PLACES� BECOMES NETWORK�S SECOND MOST-WATCHED TELECAST IN NETWORK HISTORY
Original Movies Led Network to Highest-Rated January Ever
The premiere of Hallmark Channel�s Original movie �Hidden Places,� starring
Shirley Jones, Sydney Penny and Jason Gedrick, delivered a 2.9 household rating, 2.1
million homes and nearly 3.7 million unduplicated viewers P2+, on Saturday, January 28
(9 pm, ET/PT). This marks the movie as the network�s second most-watched telecast in
its history. In addition, Hallmark Channel celebrated its highest-ever-rated January, led
by the success of its original movies.
�Hidden Places� ranked as the highest-rated movie of the day, third highestrated
movie of the week (1/23-1/29/06) and fifth highest-rated telecast of the day,
among all ad-supported cable networks. The movie won the time period among HH and
P2+ ratings and boosted Hallmark Channel to become the second most-watched adsupported
cable network for the time period, among total viewers P2+. �Hidden Places�
also ranked among the Top 5 for HH and key demo ratings and among the Top 10 for
HH and key demo delivery, in the time period.
Original movies led Hallmark Channel to achieve its best-ever January, among
households and key demo delivery. In addition to the premiere of �Hidden Places,�
Hallmark Channel�s January Original movie premieres included offerings from its popular
Mystery Movie franchises. The network premiered �Murder 101� (Jan. 7) with a 2.2 HH
rating, making it the highest-rated mystery movie ever; �Jane Doe: Yes, I Remember It
Well� with a 1.4 HH rating (Jan. 14) making it the most-watched Jane Doe movie ever;
and �Mystery Woman: At First Sight� (Jan. 21) with a 1.6 HH rating making it the mostwatched
Mystery Woman movie ever.
Hallmark Channel�s Prime Time and Total Day HH ratings and Adults 18-49 and
25-54 demo delivery increased year-to-year. Following are top highlights of January
2006:
� 1.1 HH rating in Prime Time, up +10%; 0.8 HH rating in Total Day, up +14%
� Delivered 797,000 homes in Prime Time, up +16%; 542,000 homes in Total Day,
up +12%
� Delivered 303,000 A25-54 in Prime Time, up +5%; 236,000 A25-54 in Total Day,
up 5%
� Delivered 208,000 A18-49 in Prime Time, up 8%; 173,000 A18-49 in Total Day,
up +9%
