CBS Sports, the primary TV home of the AFC, has announced its 2026 NFL ON CBS schedule, marking its 67th year of NFL coverage. Building on last season's historic viewership and with more than 100 regular-season games, CBS Sports continues to demonstrate the unmatched power and reach of its multiplatform approach across broadcast television and streaming on Paramount+.
Last year, the NFL ON CBS posted its best regular-season ever and smashed viewership records by delivering the NFL's top overall package (21.252 million viewers), program (25.827 million viewers for the national game at 4:25 PM, ET) and game (57.231 million viewers for Chiefs-Cowboys on Thanksgiving) in Nielsen viewership.
The NFL ON CBS postseason schedule will feature a Wild Card playoff game, a Divisional playoff game and the AFC Championship Game. All games will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network and streamed live in the local market on Paramount+.
TV's Most-Watched Program Includes the Chiefs Four Times and the Cowboys Twice in the National Game Window at 4:25 PM, ET
The NFL ON CBS national game window at 4:25 PM, ET has been the most-watched window in all of television for each of the past three years and averaged nearly 26 million viewers last season. CBS Sports will have 10 national Sunday doubleheader windows this season, including the Chiefs four times and the Cowboys twice.
Overall, CBS Sports' national game windows - including Thanksgiving and Week 15 Saturday primetime - will have multiple appearances by the Chiefs (4 games) and the Bills, Cowboys, Broncos, 49ers and Bears (2 games each).
The 4:25 PM, ET national game window kicks off in Week 1 with Packers-Vikings and is highlighted by blockbuster games on the NFL schedule, including Ravens-Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro (Week 3), Chiefs-Broncos (Week 8), Steelers-Eagles (Week 11), Bills-Patriots (Week 13), Cowboys-Rams (Week 15) and 49ers-Chiefs (Week 16).
The NFL ON CBS will finish the regular season strong with a national doubleheader in three of the final four weeks.
Blockbuster Week 15 Schedule Includes Two National Games - Bears-Bills on Saturday Night and Cowboys-Rams at 4:25 PM, ET
As the push for the playoffs intensifies, the NFL ON CBS will showcase two national games in Week 15.
CBS Sports added an exclusive national NFL primetime window on Saturday night with the Bills hosting the Bears on December 19 at 8:20 PM, ET.
The next day, the Cowboys will visit the Rams in a key NFC battle between Super Bowl contenders at 4:25 PM, ET. Anchoring the Week 15 slate at 1:00 PM, ET is an AFC North rivalry contest with the Steelers hosting the Ravens.
NFL ON CBS Schedule has More Games With AFC's Top Teams than Any Other Network and Strong Lineup of NFC Contenders
As the primary TV home of the AFC, the conference's top teams will play on CBS more than any other network.
The Chiefs, Bills, Patriots and Steelers are all scheduled to appear up to nine times on CBS - three times as many games as any other network - and the Ravens and Broncos are slated for up to 10 games. Kansas City enters the season with four NFL ON CBS games in the coveted 4:25 PM, ET window.
CBS Sports' schedule will also showcase a strong lineup of NFC teams. The 49ers, Bears and Lions will appear three times while the Super Bowl champion Seahawks, Cowboys, Eagles and Rams will play twice on the network. The Packers open the season on CBS for the second consecutive year.
NFC North Rivalry Kicks Off Thanksgiving Day as the Lions Host the Bears
Announced earlier today on CBS Mornings, the NFL ON CBS returns to Detroit on Thanksgiving for a late-season division rivalry game as the Lions face the Chicago Bears. The teams have won the NFC North in each of the past three seasons, with the Bears winning the division last year and the Lions the previous two seasons.
AFC's Star Quarterbacks in the Spotlight All Season Long
As the primary TV home of the AFC, the NFL ON CBS schedule boasts an unprecedented roster of star quarterbacks, including Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes, Buffalo's Josh Allen, Baltimore's Lamar Jackson, New England's Drake Maye, Cincinnati's Joe Burrow, Denver's Bo Nix and the Los Angeles Chargers' Justin Herbert.
