LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- With seven weeks to go until the broadcast networks announce their 2006-07 schedules, two more series have been given early verdicts.
FOX's freshman drama "Bones" got the thumbs up for a second season while the WB's comedy veteran "What I Like About You" won't be sticking around for the UPN/WB merger.
The "Bones" renewal comes on the heels of its strong performance in the lead-off spot on Wednesday nights. 12.07 million viewers tuned into the show's March 15 installment, a surprising 2.12% growth from its final post-"Idol" broadcast (11.82 million on March 8).
As for "What I Like About You," tonight's episode has been billed by promos as its "series finale," a fact confirmed by the network this week.
To date this season, the comedy veteran has averaged 2.23 million viewers, making it the WB's least-watched program.
