Model/Actress Beth Ostrosky to Host G4's Popular Series 'FILTER' When the Irreverent Program Returns in an All-New Format Beginning Saturday, June 3

New Approach Offers Fresh Take on the Popular 'Countdown' Show Format

LOS ANGELES, April 19 -- With one of the world's sexiest women on board as its new host, G4 announced today the relaunch of the network's long-time series FILTER as a fast, funny and always surprising countdown show. Model/actress and best-selling swimsuit calendar icon Beth Ostrosky -- recently named one of FHM Magazine's "100 Sexiest Women in the World" for the fourth year in a row -- joins FILTER as its new host. FILTER, with host Beth Ostrosky, will premiere on Saturday, June 3 at 7:00 PM ET/PT.

Hosted by Ostrosky -- who is affectionately known as Beth O. -- FILTER is a weekly series that sifts through the latest in pop culture to create an original and irreverent countdown show that's always unpredictable, off-center and a little over-caffeinated. Lists range from "Top 21 Parties" -- which will include the expected (e.g., Rio's decadent Carnivale) and the not-so-expected (e.g., the infamous Donner Party) -- to "17 of the World's Most Dangerous Women," which will broadly interpret "dangerous" to include deadly beauties (a la Angelina Jolie), deadly tempers (a la alleged assistant abuser Naomi Campbell), and the just flat-out deadly (a la Typhoid Mary). The topics -- and host Beth Ostrosky -- will keep viewers' eyes glued to the screen. FILTER will also boast an all-new set, as well as a redesigned graphics package, both created specifically for the show's new look and feel.

To give viewers a taste of the new FILTER, Ostrosky will be appearing on Friday, May 12 during G4's live coverage of the 2006 E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) in Los Angeles. She will also make an appearance during the network's Friday, July 21 episode of ATTACK OF THE SHOW, a special hour dedicated to live coverage of Comic-Con International in San Diego.

"It's no secret that guys love Beth O.," said G4 President Neal Tiles. "So it's only fitting that Beth is coming on board the hottest network for guys right now. Beth has a great sense of humor that blends perfectly with the irreverent direction this show will be heading in. We're thrilled to have Beth join G4."

A self-professed tomboy (she played competitive basketball throughout her high school years) and model who entered her first fashion show at age nine, Beth Ostrosky was born in Pittsburgh and studied English Literature at the University of Pittsburgh before moving to New York to launch her modeling career. She enjoyed a successful career in Europe as a catalog model, then returned to the States and a role in the David O. Russell film Flirting With Disaster, starring Ben Stiller. Ostrosky has created four best-selling swimsuit calendars, and recently created a 2006 calendar with rescued animals, with all proceeds going to the Hurricanes Katrina and Rita Animal Rescue Fund. She also pens a monthly advice column for the popular men's publication FHM Magazine.

Ostrosky is a spokesperson for the North Shore Animal League of Long Island, New York, the world's largest pet rescue and adoption organization. She's also the proud owner of a 52-pound English bulldog, Bianca, who appears with her in the 2006 calendar. More information is available at her website, http://www.betho.com.
