A&E'S SUCCESSFUL SWAT FRANCHISE EXPANDS TO INCLUDE NEW STRANDS IN NEW CITIES

DETROIT SWAT AND KANSAS CITY SWAT TO LAUNCH THIS FALL

DALLAS SWAT RETURNS WITH ALL NEW EPISODES BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 14TH

NEW YORK, NY, AUGUST 30, 2006 - This fall, A&E Network will expand its successful SWAT franchise to include two new strands in the following two cities, Detroit and Kansas City, MO. All SWAT episodes will rotate within the existing DALLAS SWAT timeslot of Thursdays at 10pm EST/PST. The first episode of DETROIT SWAT will premiere on October 5th. The first episode of KANSAS CITY SWAT is scheduled to air mid November.

DALLAS SWAT returns to A&E with all new episodes beginning Thursday, September 14th at 10pm EST/PST. New officers appearing on DALLAS SWAT this fall include: Sr. Corporals Larry Gordon and Joe Guzman, Sergeant Eddie Fuller and Officer Todd Stratman.

Like DALLAS SWAT, DETROIT SWAT and KANSAS CITY SWAT will follow the personal and professional lives of each host city's Police Department Tactical Unit.

Executing high-risk drug busts, apprehending murder suspects, searching for high profile missing persons, and rescuing hostages - there is simply no such thing as a low-stress day on a SWAT team. But when the smoke and the tear gas clears, the SWAT officers rely on one another to keep "the job" from driving them to the brink. Viewers ride shotgun with this unique group of men and women as they tackle the toughest job in law enforcement and then head home to their loved ones.
