JOANNA KLEIN NAMED VICE PRESIDENT, DRAMA DEVELOPMENT, THE CW
October 31, 2006 (Burbank, CA) - Joanna Klein has been named Vice President, Drama Development, The CW, it was announced today by Thom Sherman, Executive Vice President, Drama Development, The CW, to whom Klein will report.
In her new role, Klein will be involved with all aspects of developing new drama series for The CW.

She's a confident, funny, unflappable person as well as being a terrific executive with all the requisite attributes: great with material, a keen eye for talent, and well-liked and respected in the creative community," said Sherman. "She's a formidable presence who'll be a tremendous asset to us as we try to continue attracting top creators to The CW."
Previously, Klein served as Vice President of Development and Current Programming at Regency Television, working on series including "Thief" and "Windfall."
Prior to Regency, she was Vice President of Development and Production at Lionsgate Television, where she was involved with such series as "The Dead Zone" and "Weeds." She joined Lionsgate as Manager of TV Series. Klein began her career in entertainment as a business planner at Touchstone Television.
Klein graduated with honors earning her bachelors degree in business administration from Emory University.
