�JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE� TO BROADCAST LIVE POST-ACADEMY AWARDS� SPECIAL ON ABC
Oscar� Host Ellen DeGeneres Will Be Kimmel�s Guest Tuesday, February 20
For the second consecutive year, ABC presents �Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards�,� SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2007 (12:05 � 1:05 a.m., ET, approx.). Live from the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, CA, a special broadcast of the fastest growing late-night talk-show, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, airs following the Oscar telecast and local news. Guests appearing on the special will be announced at a later date. Additionally, in a special Oscar� week appearance, Kimmel welcomes Emmy� winner and first-time Academy Awards host Ellen DeGeneres (�The Ellen DeGeneres Show�) as a guest TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 20 (12:05-1:05 a.m., ET).
On its first post-Oscar telecast in 2006, �Jimmy Kimmel Live� delivered the show�s third-highest numbers ever at the time in Total Viewers (4 million) -- behind only its two post-Super Bowl telecasts (on 1/26/03 and 2/5/06). Kimmel�s guests were Jon Stewart, Quentin Tarantino and Johnny Knoxville.
�Jimmy Kimmel Live� continues to build momentum, attracting such recent guests as Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Justin Timberlake, Orlando Bloom, The Killers, Sylvester Stallone, and Jay-Z. The late-night talk show finished out the 2006 November Sweep with its largest audience (1.81 million) during any sweeps period in three years � since November 2003. Compared to its performance last November, �JKL� saw its audience grow by 6% in Total Viewers, representing the fourth consecutive Sweeps period of year-to-year gains in viewers.
Season to date, the program has increased its overall audience by 14% from the same point last season (1.82 million vs. 1.59 million) and was up 17% in Adults 18-49 (0.7/4 vs. 0.6/4). Among Total Viewers, the talk show grew from the comparable week last year for the 47th time in the last 49 weeks � since the beginning of the year, the week of 01/02/06.
Jimmy Kimmel and Jill Leiderman serve as executive producers of �Jimmy Kimmel Live.� Jason Schrift and Douglas DeLuca serve as co-executive producers. �Jimmy Kimmel Live� is shot live in front of a studio audience and produced by Jackhole Industries in association with Touchstone Television.
