ABC to Drop 'Jim,' 'Emergency' for Two Weeks

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC is giving "According to Jim" and "In Case of Emergency" a two week break as the network plans to run encores of "Lost" in the Wednesday, 9:00/8:00c hour on February 14 ("Not in Portland") and February 21 ("Flashes Before Your Eyes").
"George Lopez" and "The Knights of Prosperity" will run as normal at 8:00/7:00c and 8:30/7:30c respectively.
The changes, confirmed via scheduling updates this afternoon, are undoubtedly designed to give "Lost's" first-run airings at 10:00/9:00c a boost.
An estimated 9.06 million viewers tuned into last week's "Lost" recap special at 9:00/8:00c, well ahead of "Jim" (5.71 million) and "Emergency's" (4.43 million) numbers from the week prior.
Both comedies then are expected to resume their runs on February 28.
