BRAVO GARNERS A WEBBY NOMINATION FOR "PROJECT RUNWAY" WIRELESS SITE
BravoTV.com Earns Three Webby Honorees
NEW YORK, NY. April 23, 2007 -- Bravo garnered a nomination and three honorees for the 11th Annual Webby Awards -- including recognition for mobile and online offerings for hit series "Project Runway" and BravoTV.com -- as recently announced by The Webby Awards, the leading international honor for the Web.
Bravo's wireless site for "Project Runway" received a nomination in the Best News & Entertainment Wireless Website Category. Each of the nominees is eligible to win two awards -- the Webby Award, voted on by a panel of judges, and the People's Choice Award, voted on by the public. Voting is open now through April 27; people can vote online (http://peoplesvoice.webbyawards.com) or use their mobile phone to text vote (text WEBBY VOTE RUNWAY to 24442). Winners will be announced May 1 and honored during the Webby Awards Gala scheduled for June 5 in New York.
"We are delighted to be acknowledged by the Webby Awards," said Lisa Hsia, Senior Vice President, New Media. "This nomination is a testament to the team's dedication and creativity to connecting Bravo viewers through all platforms."
BravoTV.com's popular site and online features earned three Webby Official Honorees -- BravoTV.com in the Television Category, the "Project Runway" microsite in the Fashion Category and the popular "Project Runway" Video Mash-ups in the Interactive Advertising: Game or Application Category. Honoree distinction is awarded to work that scores in the top 15 percent of all work submitted for a Webby.
Hailed as the "Oscars of the Internet" by the New York Times, the Webby Awards are the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including Web sites, interactive advertising, online film and video and mobile web sites. Established in 1996, the 11th Annual Webby Awards received a record 8,000 entries from all 50 states and over 60 countries worldwide.
