A&E REAL LIFE SERIES - THE FIRST 48 & SWAT RETURN FOR SIXTH AND THIRD SEASONS RESPECTIVELY

TWO SEASON PREMIERES THURSDAY, JULY 12 @ 9:00PM & 10:00PM ET/PT

New York, NY June 27, 2007 This summer, A&E is bringing back two critically acclaimed Real-Life series, THE FIRST 48 and the SWAT franchise, for more action-packed drama. Season Six of THE FIRST 48 and Season Three of the SWAT franchise will both premiere on Thursday, July 12th at 9:00PM and 10:00PM ET/PT respectively.

THE FIRST 48, the highest rated non-fiction justice series in cable, comes back strong for Season 6 promising to bring viewers behind the scenes of real-life investigations with unprecedented access to crime scenes, forensic processing and interrogations. The series, which follows homicide detectives in real time during the first critical 48 Hours of a murder investigation, adds Cincinnati this season to its already impressive roster of the nation's top police departments, including Miami, Memphis, Dallas, Kansas City and Detroit.

The new season of Dallas SWAT, Kansas City SWAT and Detroit SWAT takes viewers into some of the most exciting and perilous police operations in the country. Season Three brings fans deeper into the lives of the men and women who risk everything on a daily basis when they answer barricaded gunmen call-outs and embark on high-risk weapons and narcotics warrants; and we give viewers a front row seat as negotiators attempt to persuade dangerous suspects to surrender. We'll also say farewell to Dallas SWATs veteran member, Senior Corporal Steve Claggett, as he retires after a prestigious career in SWAT.

THE FIRST 48: BLINDSIDED (Premiere Episode) (#72)

In Dallas, Detective Eddie Ibarra gets an emotionally wrenching case. A 52-year-old mother who spent twenty years working for the blind is brutally murdered in the lobby of her office building. Det. Ibarra discovers a shocking clue: the buildings surveillance system recorded video of the crime, and of the killers face. Ibarra races to put a name to the suspects face before time runs out.

PREMIERE: July 12 at 9pm/1am ET and PT

KANSAS CITY SWAT (Premiere Episode) (#25)

The war on drugs continues this week with a brand new season of KANSAS CITY SWAT. Sergeants Chip Huth and Paul Hamilton put their squads together to confront a possible methamphetamine lab. The two teams suit up in high-tech protective gear to go into this potentially deadly situation. Once on the scene, the situation turns tense when a suspect starts to flee. Then, on what should be a routine drug warrant, Pauls squad finds themselves up against a known adversary the fatal funnel forcing the squad to think quickly on their feet.

PREMIERE: July 12 at 10pm/2am ET and PT

An all new episode of DETROIT SWAT will premiere, Thursday, July 19 followed by a new episode of DALLAS SWAT on Thursday, July 26.
