SHAUNA NOLAND AND CEDRIC GARDNER ARE ELIMINATED ON "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE"

THE TOP 6 COUPLES COMPETE ON THE NEXT PERFORMANCE SHOW WEDNESDAY, JULY 18, ON FOX

ENRIQUE IGLESIAS TO PERFORM ON THE LIVE RESULTS SHOW THURSDAY, JULY 19

The summer hit SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE sizzled this week, with performances by the Top 14 finalists on Wednesday and a musical performance last night by Hilary Duff. Noted choreographer/director Adam Shankman served as a guest judge on both shows and choreographed last night's group routine featuring the song "You Can't Stop the Beat" from "Hairspray."

The three couples who received the fewest votes after Wednesday's performance show were: Anya Garnis and Danny Tidwell; Shauna Noland and Cedric Gardner; and Hok Konishi and Jaimie Goodwin. After each of the six dancers performed a solo routine, the judges eliminated Noland and Gardner from the competition, as individuals, ending their quest to become America's favorite dancer. Noland, 18, is a Contemporary dancer from Santa Cruz, CA; and Gardner, 23, is a Hip-Hop dancer from Milwaukee who currently lives in New Berlin, WI. Also last night, Duff performed the hit single "Stranger" from her latest CD, "Dignity."

Next week, the remaining 12 finalists (Kameron Bink, Anya Garnis, Jaimie Goodwin, Lauren Gottlieb, Neil Haskell, Sabra Johnson, Hok Konishi, Pasha Kovalev, Dominic Sandoval, Lacey Schwimmer, Sara Von Gillern and Danny Tidwell) compete as couples once again on the performance show Wednesday, July 18 (8:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The following night, the judges will send two more dancers home, and Enrique Iglesias will perform "Somebody's Me" on the live results show Thursday, July 19 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed).

Having sold 40 million albums in little more than a decade, Enrique Iglesias is one of the most successful artists in pop music history. The Madrid-born, Miami-raised singer began writing and recording songs as a teenager, although he did not use his real name until he secured his first recording contract. His self-titled debut album sold more than a million copies in the first three months after its release, and the follow-up, 1997's "Vivir," broke into the U.S. Top 40. Within three years, Iglesias became the biggest-selling Spanish-language singer in the world; he leads all artists with 16 No. 1 Billboard Latin hits.

Iglesias expanded his audience beyond the Latin market in 1999 with "Enrique," his first English-language CD, which was certified double platinum and included the mega-hits "Bailamos," "The Rhythm Divine," "Be With You" and "Could I Have This Kiss Forever." "Enrique" was followed by "Escape," featuring the hits "Hero" and "Escapar"; the Spanish-language album "Quizs"; Iglesias' seventh album, "7"; and the recently released "Insomniac," crafted over a three-year period with stops in Miami, Los Angeles and Sweden.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE was created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and comes from 19 Entertainment Ltd. and dick clark productions. It is executive-produced by Simon Fuller, Nigel Lythgoe and Barry Adelman.
